CS:GO Discussion

I thought the butterfly was the best knife with the animations it has but apparently its not the most popular or in demand.
Just recently with the new case, the breakout case no longer drops as frequently I think. Its starting to go up in price (very weak still but it should build imo), that suggests the items and especially the knife which is exclusive to that case I think would also rise in price.
You may get more demand coming through if its less easily available presuming cs population continues upwards, but it'll take a while

I know how to get rid of a knife, its just a question of the cash. Send me a message what the rough figure is. You can post an advert on members market here too. I like the idea of swapping skins for gear I need, but I doubt theres demand enough & I dont really have much and I mostly just swap it for cash at sometimes bad rates

Quick look shows 75% of market listed price on various cash sites

EveryoneClick on the BETA in game pls Gaben. Wish they'd start that up

Won 1 of my last 9 games :( Shame really, had a usual mix of trolls in there but some games were so close with really nice team mates.

Well then, after this had a streak of wins and a rank up. Is there any kind of rank shuffling or VAC wave happening? The skill level in games seems to be all over.

the rank shuffle happened a while ago, its slowly evening out, I got knocked from LEM to MG1 for example as i went inactive for a fortnight got my rank back on a draw which I think was unfair, anyway I am now back up to DMG but stuggling to get past with solo q'ing this time as the skill level is iffy at this rank.

I was on a terrible run of crap team mates and poor personal play. Got deranked from GNM to GN2!!! Given it 2 weeks off now so going to get back to it soon.

Just got bored with far to many smurfs and idiots everywhere.

yeah i feel you on that man i am smfc and every time we play i play a game thay is allways one person hacking or i have got a troll on my team

I think I am on 6 wins in a row now.

I often find myself having to provide emotional support for my team mates though, people tilt so easily. Quite a challenge really, trying to cool down a Russian teenager who only knows 8 words of English!

yeah sorry if thay is any good russian but the most of the time it is the russians who make this community toxic AF

Not all Russian (speakers) are bad but yea there is a gap in understanding for obvious reasons. Sooner they let you select some option to slim down MM options the better (not just maps), if we have more people in the game its feasible now

The best games are not on MM imo, like the reddit games every Tues are ok. MM is just the best for skill matching though ranks are very diverse still

Anyone good with skins? Been offered a Vanilla StatTrak Falchion Knife for my Field Tested Case Hardened Flip, which on paper seems like an OK trade but prices for the Falchion seem to be fluctuating a lot.

Opinions?

I don't know too much about skins but I imagine for someone who is in the know when it comes to skins a picture of the Case Hardened Flip would be required since each pattern is different.

Can anyone recommend a few public servers with decent map variety?? I cannot do casual valve servers anymore.

I miss the old servers run by communities

edit: while on the subject of old CS I just remembered that Militia video and this classic (IMO)

edit2: and while watching this I also miss choosing the skin of your in-game character

Looks great but they lost the timing on happy's deagle ace for example and I dont like that music mix/clash but an amazing amount of work went into that movie

Would love it if cs graphics looked that nice as well.
They have to get a way to lock down gamma to have the more interesting variation in shading I think. I would need a much better quality monitor for sure.
Not sure if Vulcan helps advance something like this but source engine 2 works on it

Envy still pretty deadly. Odds for them to get a map in bo3 is below 30% :/

I used to play 1.5/1.6 competitively in the UK before I quit. I've just built a PC for the first time in 6 years, which means only one thing; GO.

I'm starting to get to grips with it, if anyone wants any games etc then add me: hydegamer.

Once I'll get to Rank 3 it'll be matches and IRC games for me.

I played a reasonable amount around the late beta/early 1.0 days. Think I stopped around the time the 1.4 or 1.5 update came out.

I was more of a decent-ish team deathmatch type player that a tactical proper CS player, though, and although I always did well on the scoreboards in random servers back in those days I never really got to grips with the tactics of CS. (Truth be told, I played a little bit drunk or wasted almost all the time back then).

A mate was reminiscing about this the other week and on a whim I got CS:GO and have been playing against bots. So many new maps and it all feels so familiar and so different at the same time. So weird to feel this sense of familiarity tugging at me over a span of 15 years or so, though.

I am just starting to dominate expert bots after three or four hour's game time. I'm still not feeling ready to face human players, though. Anyone any idea how well expert bots stack up in terms of difficulty to play against versus the poorer/average humans?
