CS:GO Discussion

The third party addon thing I have had since the release its very annoying. I just do it via the in game server browser.

Chris BEANS I had to kick you from a server earlier :o
Was in a game and the pw didn't set! Sorry fella ha

Also as I posted earlier there is a tournament tomorrow and I have a few players but could do with a few more if they can play from around 1pm tomorrow. Not expecting to get that far but might be ok.
Let me know if you can and I shall see what can be done.

No worries dude :)

I won't put myself up for the tournament, I'm just about getting as many kills as deaths and I don't know the maps yet!! :p
Looking forward to getting up to speed though, because the reason I got this is for some proper co-op play. Used to love playing ET with pals, I'd go back if there were still vanilla servers without bots.

Edit: I'm not very bright :(

I love this game!!! :D

I'm now getting more kills than deaths in demolition and arms race games, and for the first time since Wolf ET I actually get little adrenalin rushes while playing a game!!

Woop :D

Ok I own up, I have NEVER played CS. I think I did once (Source), but I did not enjoy it too much. Probably only for half and hour or so anyway.

I have played a lot of FPS games though, pretty much the entire Battlefield series.

Will I enjoy it and should I buy it?

Mate, I'd not played CS before yesterday, it's the business!!

I was hoping for more team objective stuff and even on objective maps it tends to be a bit more team death match than proper co-op, but still very cool.

For twelve quid you can't go wrong, I think I'm addicted and it's only day two of having it!! :D

Would be nice to have a silencer on guns again... Like M4 and USP.

I've never played CS so got no experience of using silencers, but I don't see the point?
I rarely react to the sound of gunfire, I generally hear them running to get a bearing on where people are. The sound of running is surprisingly (deliberately??) loud and with my headset on I can tell quite accurately where and even how far away people are.

What difference do silencers make?

It was just a point of distinction between the two teams. CT's got Silencers with stealth appeal and T's got the big headshot-plinking AK's. It's a bit like the argument in CoD1/CoD2 for different teams having distinct weapon sets, really: it gives you variation, a reason to want to play one team over the other, a different playstyle/weaponset to use, etc. Really, when the game has had them for over a decade, the question at this stage should be "what is the point in removing them?"

Is there such a thing as a 'casual' clan?

I'm looking for some organisation and teamwork, everyone knobbing about on headsets so we all know what's going on and having some banter, but I'm not good, I don't care about getting good and I wouldn't be able to make loads of 'practices' etc...

I'd still be on quite frequently and I'm fully aware there'd be some expectation on me, just no point in me joining any groups that take things too seriously.

I guess I'm looking for a similar experience to when me and my pals used to all get together years ago.
We weren't a 'clan', we just used to play together a lot and ended up quite goo at ET, and I miss that.

Sadly, there's no danger any off my pals would do that anymore... :(
