How much can DRM really effect performance?
I haven't pre ordered. I thought it was going to be a bit a mess on release and it kind of looks that way. I can wait few months.
It been charged and ready to be shipped, but not yet left the warehouse for me. Hopefully by the end of the day it will have been collected and on it's way. Bare in mind, I'm in Sweden though, so might be different then for you in Scotland.

It'll require the app for headsets.
App on Windows store. Software based so will work with any headphones in theory. I use it in all games after disabling dtsx on my steel series, just sounds better to my ears.
That CRT probably had higher refresh rate than your 55"
I cannot game at less that 144hz these days.
What a crock. You get stranded on a desert island with internet, top spec gaming pc and a 120hz panel...still skipping stones or gaming?

Given how buggy this game sounds probably a good thing to wait a few more months for my 3080 to arrive.
Personally, I'd go with the PS5 if you're running a 1080 ti.
Difficult decision as you'd lose your ultra-wide ratio on the PS5 but would probably perform better. Also, i dont think we get the next gen upgrade till next year?

It’s been confirmed by CDPR that it will be. Rockstar and others should take note.
So as hoped and expected from the reviews, looks like the great game I was hoping for but with the expected bugs and performance issues on launch. This is why I normally do not play games on launch anymore. Excited for this game but tempted to leave it for a few weeks to iron out the major bugs, but that is going to be hard to do...
