Is the performance hit with HDR on, significant? Also, does anyone else find the graphics to be a bit blurry and grainy? I'm running mainly at high, and it doesn't seem as sharp as I was expecting.

maybe its the movie grain enabled by default in the settings

I'm at 3440x1440 which is 20-30% more pixels and I'm getting 30 fps on average at high.

Turn off motion blur, chromatic aberration and film grain.

I haven't tried it with HDR disabled yet, I test it later to see if it makes any difference

I would expect HDR would not impact performance?

Not sure what I'm going to do with WDL now, maybe uninstall it, it's like an obsolete game.

That's what I thought, Ubisoft were very lucky to get WDL out in time because as you say, it pales in comparison and almost not even worth considering now LOL

Anyone playing this on a more modest system?

I have a Vega 64 and 5820K and i'm little disappointed that on medium settings i'm only get around 40fps at 1440p.

To be fair that sounds impressive

apparently Cascade shadows is absolutely hammering performance, ive read that changing it from high to medium increases FPS massively

HDR is working fine

You are right. Unlike all my other games you need to enable HDR in Windows Settings, it doesn't just kick in automatically.

You and me both!

My GPU is vega 56 with latest drivers for what it's worth.

Other games HDR is perfectly fine.

Enable in Windows Settings and then it works. Not sure why it doesn't kick in automatically

To be fair the UI and button mapping in this game is appalling. I can easily imagine that it will put a lot of people off quite early in the gameplay.

It's not bugged me one bit tbh, i usually just adapt or change 1 key for crouch. Not had to do any for this game and im not finding it difficult to learn the new layout.

Depends on your graphics. 5950x tops out at 97fps stocvk (110fps OC and memory tuned). 5600x manages 73 stock.

Edit: ignore me, was thinking about CPU 5600X, not GPU 5600XT.

I know I can;t get RT yet on my 6800XT but I am tempted to shell out on a HDR 3440x1440p panel to replace my 4 year old acer

I played a quick 20 mins with a quick corpo character early this morning, this game feels like no other before it, totally new feeling with it, definitely 'next gen' not sure I've ever been as immersed in a game so quickly?

Anyway, will start a new proper play through tonight when I finish work.

Runs nice on my 2080Ti with DLSS also.

Fancy having no inbuilt benchmark or fps overlay on the most graphically intensive game ever. Fraps and steam overlay don't work, anyone know how to show fps. Medium @1080p is ok on a 580 btw

I always leave the windows HDR setting enabled ( I see no reason to disable it)

I'm debating playing with a controller or not. Using the Car was a lot more fun with the controller but the early shooting section was a **** show. What's the crouch button on controller?
