*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

The bugs have really damaged there reputation, be interesting to see how there judged when it comes to the next game they release.

Add to that the base ps4/xbox performance which is just laughable. They should be removed from sale until they can actually get the game in some decent state on them
I never played Witcher games but people talked about how great they are and that CD could never mess up the Cyberpunk launch. Then instantly on release they say ah but the Witcher 3 had at a lot issues at launch too. So very confused.

The game is great just a lot of basic bugs going on that shouldn't be in a game that has been tested.

The latest one I found is if you headshot an NPC in a car and get the police intro tutorial screen the axles of the car and wheels pop up out of the car when the game is paused for that message

I noticed a fun new bug while hanging out in the badlands being driven around by panam. On long enough stretches of roads, rather than render the cars ahead of you at great distance, they render this set screen of loads of traffic, including cars crossing the road which has no side roads onto it. It was not very pretty. It'd look fine in the city and you wouldn't notice, but out in the desert it just doesn't make any sense and looks obviously wrong

Imagine if the open world was what people expected, but the first person shooting mechanics were cut/back or poorly implemented in the same way... like suppose it didn't support strafing and instead the A and D keys just rotated your view...

Judging by most people's reactions people would go "well it isn't really meant to be a shooter so you're being unreasonable to expect the controls to match the standard that has been set for shooters for the last 2 decades"

Clearly some people built up way unrealistic expectations but it's shocking to me how far people are going to defend things... (not everyone of course, and respect to those saying that they agree with how lacklustre the open world is but they are still enjoying it as more of a linear type of game)

I’ve heard many times now that TW3 was in need of patches on release and that the support it received was excellent. Patches were released often to squash bugs and improve the game or add QOL features. One of the CP2077 reviews I recently read cited this as a reason why they weren’t at all worried about the bugs in the game.

On a related note, TW3 is being remastered for next gen hardware with improvements like ray tracing being added. This remaster is being given for free to existing owners of the game when they could have released the remastered version and charged everyone for it again since it is now approaching 5 years old.
I won’t defend what I think is an unfinished release, this trend of releasing just good enough needs to stop. However, I think it is right to give CDPR credit for their history of supporting their releases and they can keep my £20 because I trust that they will deliver this time round.

As for how the game is running for me now. Once I reinstalled the game my experience improved considerably. There are still bugs that bug the **** out of me, but as someone who went in with few expectations (infinite genital customisation aside) I’m not disappointed by Night City. I would love to see those locked doors open over time and the NPCs AI tweaked, but I’m getting about what I expected. My initial disappointment has mostly abated now that the visual bugs I was getting have been pretty much eradicated by the reinstall.

@weldon855
I vaguely remember some yes, there were hundreds of these dumped into a pastebin. I'll have a look.

Actually, have the paste: https://pastebin.com/mg5Mh3sV You can safely put the entire thing into a user.ini and then fiddle around with what parameters make sense.

This just caught my eye.

DisableLOD = true

Best to make that false, so LODs show up.

Well the ending was rubbish , just as the game was getting going as well.
Whoever thought doing a rubik's cube over and over again would make a good finale needs sacking
:D

I kinda liked that. It was something mundane, felt real somehow. :)

BTW, there are many endings, you should try the others as well.

The Witcher 3 was/is a better game, the mechanics that these 2 games share just work better in that one.
Cyberpunk feels a bit like Mafia 2 - some features/content got cancelled (probably due to time constraints). They should have putted more of that marketing budget into actual development.

Anyway, finished the game (all ~ 7 endings/variables available as a Nomad; some are quite the same). Main story is quite short, by the time I've reached the "point of no return", I thought it would be only around 15-20% done... But at least is a decent game (with lots of bugs and shortcomings already mentioned). Probably CDPR will lose a lot of good faith and trust from gamers.

Time for a new run, probably as a Street Kid. :)

Happened again. After a cut scene I get 30fps. Close & reopen game, straight back to 50+.

Anyone else having this?

I had this yesterday, and was tinkering with settings that had worked for 10 hours suddenly giving awful results. Gave up, closed it down and took a break. When I loaded it up later on, it was back to normal *well higher as I'd turned a load of **** off :0

It's not polished, but it's not a turd, so well worth CDPR getting out their Mr Sheen as fast as they can.

Put 3 hours into it, think im going to hold off until GOTY edition is out and ive upgraded my pc. Not enjoying it that much at all and plus ive got a big backlog of games i want to finish first.

This game has nothing on the hate that Naughty Dog got for TLOU2 :o

Regardless, how on earth does it reach to such levels of stupidity. It's a game. Sure every game has issues and can be very annoying but it's still a game. How on earth does one feel so compelled they need to supposedly send out death threats...
