*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Started a new "NG+" game after using a mod from nexusmods now the ReMod option has people cranking out more mods daily - So now I'm a female nomad V (first time as a female, not digging the voice tbh) but set just after the initial Sandra Dorset mission and I'm at level 50 for everything with every perk and attribute maxed out and every weapon/clothing set to legendary.

Obviously it's effectively a "cheat" so I'm not very interested in using this for a serious playthrough but I'm just trying to speed-run the main mission and see if I can "finish" the main story within 20hrs at most which, as I'm effectively a Cyberpunk "God" due to the Mod, shouldn't be too hard.

Plus I might consider doing the Judy romance at some point as I've not been able to before as a male V.

Having tired of the constant grind of online games recently and despite this being installed on my PC for over a year, I finally got around to starting my first playthrough last night as after the last update it seemed a decent time to drop in and this will be a vanilla 'mod-free' play through.

Only played about 1.5hrs so far but am already impressed with the scene setting, characters and script writing. Keanu still hasnt showed up yet but I'm can already guess how thats going to happen.
I know zero about the lore, story etc so coming into the CP world purely from whatever the game presents to me.

Gun play feels a little 'wofty' but maybe that gets better as I go further into the perk system, we'll see as I'll be going full John Rambo as I cba with stealth builds and like shooting everything that moves with as big a gun as I can get

I've also done zero research and only kept up with the updates so have probably already messed up....but started as Nomad for no reason other than it was first on the list.

yeah don't sweat it, you really don't need a min/maxed build in the game. You'll probably be raising the difficulty later on anyway as you're melting everything
found the game needed like 80fps + if using RT as it seems to add a delay feel to it

Yeah I turned RT off almost immediately as I much prefer the higher FPS over maxed out visuals. Still looks great to my eyes.

I've pretty much everything cranked with motion blur and CA turned off and think I'm seeing 100+ FPS consistently @ 1440p but I've hardly touched the game yet so hard to assess properly. Certainly feels fine anyway and didn't get choppy at all in the couple of shooty scenes I've done so far

I find RT frustrating in the game as lots of places you really have to look to see any big difference to the screen space reflections and non-RT lighting but then in some places it is transformative.

The newer update which fixes some of the reflection issues and shadows from more light sources does increase the visuals a fair bit as well but that really hits the hardware unfortunately. I could run the out the box RT implementation with all settings ultra at 1440p on my 3070 and just about sustain 60 FPS.

Every time I replay the game I find interesting new bits - I found that you can find out what really happened to Evelyn Parker at Clouds, the main story makes you think she got beat up by a client before being palmed off by Woodman (her boss) to Fingers the Ripperdoc but it turns out she was remotely hacked by the Voodoo Boys as a punishment for stealing the Relic herself and they took control of her body and smashed her into some walls to mess her up!

If you're doing the Clouds mission, before you talk to Woodman you can hack the main computer (in a room opposite Woodman's room) and unlock the door to Evelyn's booth (downstairs, booth 11). If you go into the booth and use your scanner vision there is blood on the wall, a jack-port and a Holoprojector to scan. Once you've scanned all three items you can play back a hologram of Evelyn's last client meeting and watch her suddenly go nuts as she gets hacked.

I've only found that out after almost 300hrs playing the game.

Then, after you get the Deathshead/Moth XD and meet Judy in her van outside Jig Jig street, the van radio is talking about a death row prisoner who wants to be crucified which later turns out to be the "Sinnerman" sidequest.

The world building is absolute insane at times!!!!

What's the essential list of mods I need to put on this game to have a good experience? I've started playing it today and boy oh boy are the cars horrific to drive.
I played without mods and had excellent experience. Cars controlled great with xbone gamepad, although various cars handle differently and some are easier to control than others.

To get the best experience out of the cars in my opinion you need a controller. When it comes to mods it all comes down to personal taste. Myself, I like to focus on immersion, character textures and clothing. I'm about to install the flying car mod and give that a whirl.

Cheers all, I'll have a look. I don't have an xbox pad I can use on my PC unfortunately, I keep meaning to get one though. I'm only near the start (about 4/5 hours in maybe so just got the car you start with).

A lot of the cars are rubbish.. As they are hard to control. The little bubble car thing is actualy not bad for pooling about in... Slow but you can actualy steer it. Some of the really fast cars are a pain to handle. But I found motorbikes were definitely the best all round.. Again some are better than others but generaly easier than cars.

Comes across as someone looking to pick faults wherever they can.

Reminds me of a time someone was making a comparison of hitting a lampost with a baseball bat, like really, out of everything you can do in these games, that's how you come to the conclusion xyz game is bad because of that....

The video continues to show bugs. I bought it played a good 15 hours then refunded.

I was hoping to try it again. Trying to work out why there was a sudden interest from various youtubers. It's the anime on netflix. Unfortunately, appears the hype from this doesn't mask the fact it still isn't the game they promised. Continues to have bugs and people easily bending over and accepting this.

It is way, way better than it was at launch. I'd recommend trying again.
