*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

@Iron Man
i'm using a quest 2. iin the games settings i have max res (3900 x 3900), DLSS on quality, RT off, most graphics settings on medium, getting 60-72 (i have the Q2 refresh rate @72Hz) fps depending on the scene complexity. that's with an i7 7700K and a 4090.

tried the vorpx mod/quest 2 and it does a decent job! i've only got an rtx 3060 so not really that playable but yeah just walking around is good fun in itself!
tempted to try the other mod but dont really fancy shelling out a ~tenner just to see if its worth it over vorpx

Do things like mirrors reflect again after the patch? When I first played Cyberpunk it was stunning, the graphics were insane but then something happened a few weeks in and things (like reflections) and some other reflective shader effects seemed to be removed. Sure it ran at about 10 fps in areas on my 2080Ti but thats not the point, it looked fantastic.

I blamed past gen consoles like the PS4 and people with low end graphics cards that weren't up to the game... so the graphics were toned down instead of having an option to 'enable' / 'disable' x setting. :(

Words. “Jank fest?” - non detailed?

You’re going to need to explain more than that.
I just watched someone ride a motorcycle under a car without falling off at high speed in a benchmark video on the latest patch, do you consider this not jank?
Detail, as in the city looks absolutely lifeless, non interactable.

I’m not sure on your expectations in terms of ‘life’ in a city, but it’s as good as, if not better than most other current games.

In terms of jank - yeah bikes are rubbish, but imagine how bad they would be if they were ‘realistic’.

If those are your only hang ups you will probably enjoy it, if you can put your preconceived objections aside.

The game is a jank fest - though my first run through was relatively trouble free I still had to reload previous saves due to a vast list of silly bugs and encountered loads more while playing which weren't directly impactful on the experience and had to abandon 2 subsequent attempts to play it due to show stopping bugs including issues with vehicles constantly flipping into the air an exploding sending the physics simulation haywire with big performance slow downs, cyberware just completely stopping functioning after a few minutes, stuff critical to missions simply vanishing, weird health problems and weapons getting stuck in a state, etc. etc.

Has all that not been fixed though? I installed It somewhat recently to have a go and played a few hours, not come across a single bug. I don’t mean to say there are none, but based on change logs there have fixed A LOT of bugs.

Like you my first playthrough was relatively pain free on release. I had a few t poses, the funky tree bending and that’s about all I recall. Lucky I never did start again. After 100+ hours I was done with it anyway.

Not from what I've seen, some specific bugs have been fixed but I still fire it up now and again after patches and encountered many of the same issues.

From a fresh save? Lol. What have the devs been up to the last 2 years?

Including from new characters - I've not tried a complete reset of the game back to as if newly deployed state with no settings or previous saves, etc. but it shouldn't need that to fix it.

I've never noticed any bugs even when it first came out, I never had any of the funny bugs.

Amazing game, some people just love to hate on it

Yeah but if we understand that you think everyone is faking the cables melting on 4090's, we probably should avoid your feedback in general on these sorts of topics.

I never said everyone just some look really suspect.... like how can they melt as they did from the outside? and the way they melted if plugged in seems illogical but whatever...

One turned out to be a photo from someone on this forum whom even admitted it might not actually have melted... could just be where the plastic got slightly grazed when inserting it,

I am only asking so that when I part with money, I am assured the game may be worth playing, nothing else.

Hope you buy it Tired. Its not like its expensive now, release maybe but its around twenty quid and its not that bad for that price for sure!

-ed had to check price I think its looks around £20. Sure I got it for less.

its odd because i played though every single bit and dont think I saw a single bit of "jank" or bugs
but then the sheer volume of people having issues makes it clear that their was a lot of problems - i guess i was lucky?

I do agree that there wasn't enough stuff / interaction to do in the city outside of doing missions etc

remember don't feed the trolls

just get on sale or cdkey etc, can't go wrong when it's only £15.

The game is mainly about the story and characters, if you don't like them then it probably converts to an alright FPS / GTA style game. Deffo still some jank in it if that upsets you, personally found some of it pretty funny
