*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Hi. I have 12900K stock
32 GB 2x16 GB DDR4 3600mhz
Palit Gamerock Pro OC rtx 4090
1300W Seasonic Platinum Prime
Aorus Elite DDR4 Z690
Windows 11 2H22. Updated new nvidia drivers.

I used 1440,RT ULTRA,rest ultra for testing fps.

And you know? All 3-4 modes of DLSS not working.

Dlss is not working. I am gettin the same scores and fps on all 3 modes of dlss. Any ideas? my drivers is up to date. DLSS Quality,performance,ultra performance ,no fps gain in benchmark and game.

I compare benchmark scores with youtube user and he got 160fps on that settings in benchmark, when me 115fps because dlss is screwed. Any ideas?

Here someone with Rtx 4090 and hes dlss AUTO is "working" in benchmark:




He is getting at start 165 fps. I have 115fps.

He has a 13900K. What you gonna do about fixing that.
I have 12900K its not because weaker cpu. Even someone with 10850K have working dlss and higher fps on rtx 4090. I know he have 13900K so what :)? No offense ,but it should work with 12900K dlss easily. I mean between QUality,performance,ultra performance there is 0 improvement in fps. Not normal.

But i have 1440P monitor. But i uninstalled completetly game,delete folders and downloading again to see if that does change something.
Look at Guru3D's benchmarks for Cyberpunk on the 4090 - it's completely bottlenecked at 1080p, partially bottlenecked at 1440p and can only really stretch its legs at 4k. The 4090 really isn't a 1440p card.

Ok but why fps between dlss modes not working on 1440P? When on someone with 13900K working. I have 12900K its not the weakest cpu at all. dlss should work even on 1440P i think?

Because I guess the CPU is already delivering as many frames as it can - lowering the internal resolution (via DLSS) won't necessarily result in more frames if the CPU is already running the game engine as fast as it's able to (there's more to the engine that just delivering frames).

If you can, try checking the GPU usage % whilst you're running the game - ideally you'd always want it to be at 99-100% - if it's considerably lower, it's likely your CPU is the issue (at 1440p) - at 4k (because there's more demand on the GPU), your CPU might be fine.

Try testing with and without DLSS (checking the GPU usage). Let us know what you find.
Yes with <ON> and <OFF> its working on 1440P. Without DLSS 30 fps less. With DLSS QUALITY 30 fps more. This working yes. But between DLSS -->Quality,performance,balanced,ultra performance there is 0 difference :)
 
So if you look at the Guru3D review, dropping down to 1080p (in their benchmarks) gains some performance but is severely limited by a CPU bottleneck. Turning on DLSS is basically doing the same thing (dropping resolution to generate more frames) - but there's only so many more frames your CPU can put out at those resolutions.

Getting a more powerful CPU might up your 1440p fps *a bit* but a far better use of your cash would be a 4k monitor (or a high-refresh WQHD).

Without knowing exact system specs it's impossible to say - plus, everyone has different software/OS configurations that may affect performance. Clearly DLSS is doing something for you but based on the benchmarks of Cyberpunk at 1440p you're always going to be CPU limited to some degree.

Ok thx for explanation Aegis. Just deleted all files,game and installing again. Maybe it will help. But if not ,then it must working normal on my system.

Irrelevant, I have 1080p TV and I play in 4K downsampled all the time thanks to magic of DSR.
If you only use 4090 for 1440p you will not be using it at all. Could have stayed on 3080. So go into nvidia control panel and enable DSR.
Your problem is CPU bottleneck due to low res. As has been explained.

So, how is this game now without me having to go back and read through the thread ( to lazy lol) is it worth picking up again? i refunded it ages ago but think i might like to try it again if things have improved as i did enjoy the story etc

Also has performance improved at all? its in the sale at the moment for £25 so seriously considering buying it again :)

EDIT i went and bought it again and wish i never lol game breaking bugs from the off!! never had as many the last time i played it, i thought it was better now but so far,for me and what ive played, its worse than ever!

Asked for refund and will never try it again lol
