*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I decided to get back into my second play through and get it finished before Phantom Liberty DLC comes out just incase it`s worth picking up early ( i doubt it but you never no. ) :D

But i just got to the end of I walk the line mission for the Voodoo Boys and i hit that bug where the you can not get the door to cinema to open. i have tried the save an exit game and reload the save work round but still no joy. Any other way to do this with out having to go back to older game saves.

Never had this problem with the first play through if anything the games seems to be more buggy with that 1.6 patch.

Not sure if it is the patch - I had far more issues and bugs on any subsequent attempt to play it through than the first run, before there were many patches out. No idea why and obviously don't want to clean out my existing saves to see if that sorts it :s

Seems to have sorted it`s self out now came back to it the following day was about about to back track to the older saves but gave it one more go, loaded the same save from day before and the door was open.
There are a lot of issues in Pacifica for me it is very unfinished, lot of texturing problems, it also can get strange speed up`s in the fps and then drop for no apparent reason.

Really quite hyped for Phantom liberty... i do wonder if my previous decisions and saves will have any effect on what happens or how i start the game?

Also i very much want my V to survive and Judy to be by my side

yeah been holding off what feels ages to play through again, will wait for the DLC then do a full playthrough with new char
hopefully some of the QOL mods get patched up to DLC version fairly quickly

Am I the only one getting major Golem City vibes from Dogtown?

Looks and sounds like the perfect time to revisit the game when this drops, I had one playthrough at launch and have never really been back, been tempted a few times but just not been fully motivated to jump in and be invested again.

It's likely going to feel like a very different game for people like me.

Also, just watched this, nursing a broken rib and it caused me some serious pain :D

There's a lot of better info here, police rework is in! Police spawn not on foot but they arrive in vehicles and chase you down!

Lol, you really should not use that as a selling point. Only 3 years late and decades after games like GTA or watchdogs. What next, actual AI NPCs with path finding?

?

This is an expansion to the game (paid), plus the free AI improvements.

The big list of changes are quite comprehensive. Whether late or not, they form part of the DLC anyway.

Also, specs:

How accurate this is, especially the CPU remains to be seen, since even last gen CPUs coupled with a 40 series can run the game at above 60fps at any resolution in path tracing if the above settings are used (frame gen, dlss).

I think what is more likely is they estimated the <12900K reqs, they tested on a 12900K and determined that the lower models will be good for 1080P where in actual fact they are more than fine for even 4K as evidenced by the current game also using path tracing etc.

With the way some people were carrying on and getting outraged over the current police system, this should make cp 2077 their goty now

RT overdrive confirmed!

There's a few places that hit CPU hard and it runs worse on AMD CPUs in general (I think). A few places drop below 60fps even on a 5800X3D - of course frame generation can help with that...if you have it available :p Runs considerably better in those places on the 7800X3D.

I just had a quick check in central NC outside the appartment at 12pm as that's the busiest time, with PT enabled, FG and DLSS at Ultra+Psycho lighting (that one option that goes to Psycho):

Frame Gen enabled:

Frame Gen disabled:

Note the CPU usage increase with FG disabled, 10% jump, but I would fully expect the CPU usage to be lower at 4K given the GPU bound nature of that res is more profound. So I still think their estimate of a 12900K needed for 1080P with RT Ultra (not even RT Psycho!) is questionable at best.

Given no change notes for the engine are mentioned anywhere, we can expect the same engine specifics in the new update which is fine, so really there should not be any change in system reqs, to me it looks like they have just moved the system req goalposts as the original game's reqs are 3 years old now when RT wasn't as optimised, nor did PT/Frame Gen etc exist.

Indeed! It was always going to have RTOD though tbh.

I did read somewhere a while ago that RTOD would only be for main game as dlc may have been separate to the game itself. Glad it has RTOD though. Just hope the dlc is long and not a 2-10 hour jobby
