*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I actually really like driving with mouse/kb in this, the same applied to GTA5/4/3 etc. For me in game slike this have no problem with driving properly, but on other purely driving games like Forza, a controller is the only way.

My PC gaming days began with Driver on the PC and I completed that game with mouse and keyboard. The tutorial you have to complete before the game even starts alone is more complex than most driving games as a whole :D

You either have the bones for KB/M driving or you don't tbh :p

Yeah you're not the first to tell me that. I am going to have to get a controller for the vehicle parts of the game. So any recommendations for what to buy?

Probs just an Xbox one for ease, PS5 controller is my fave but can be a bit fiddly wireless at times whereas the Xbox one is pretty seamless (and can usually get real cheap near xmas). There are plenty of other brands but I don't think you can go wrong with an Xbox controller on Windows.

As someone who got bored of the walls of text and cutscenes in starfield will i suffer the same fate with cyberpunk?
There is a huge amount of written material in the game which fleshes out the world and the various quests, gigs, side jobs etc. BUT you absolutely don't have to read them. There are scripted in game scenes in parts of the main quest line. A lot can be sped by (G key which is tweakable in settings menu) though the ones involving movement ie you're in a vehicle or lift cant be sped up.

Are you using the mouse to steer?

It's still a better experience with a controller. I can get by with KB/M, but there is no point if I can just pick up the pad and have a better time.

I went through periods of GTA V where I didn't have a controller and I was still able to compete with KB/M in the online races and so on, so it's definitely not a matter of skill.

That's a fair reasoning, with GTA 5 there were times I had the controller on the desk ready to use, but only for flying as flying requires more exis of movement, which only an analogue stick can do properly :p

Are you using the mouse to steer?
WASD for steering, space bar for handbrake (basically the default driving bindings) mouse for camera and combat. Because the mouse is the camera, I can drive and look around really quickly as if I'm playing an FPS at the same time, makes being able to power slide about and stuff that much more immersive.

Stuff like this for example is doable with a controller, but the quick snap movements are just better executed with a mouse:

First time playing Cyberpunk?

Vehicle shooting has a new mode in settings to auto assist for aiming. Also if you have smart weapons and the correct cyberwear for your optics, then smart weapon bullets will auto lock onto targets and hit them as long as you aim in their general direction.

So yes, you can do this stuff and hit targets at the same time in Cyberpunk :p

I read that as defalcating bullets back:D

Edit*

The gunfights are pretty intense, especially with all the debris flying about. This scene reminded of the movie Heat
