*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

£1500 to see fake frames quicker

Thank goodness I’ve reached a point, either due to my age or graphic quality reached that I just don’t see the difference. I’m honestly fine with the PS5 version. A few more weeks of Starfield and then I’ll pick up the DLC.

Actually, the only difference I see is that some of these RT modes look terrible. I feel like I’m in one of those mirror mazes.

You don't buy a 4090 for just 1 game though, improves every game you play!

Not defending the price but can't argue with the performance, if it's your main hobby then it's justifiable to some degree.

I'm having to bite my virtual lip to stop me buying a 4090.

Have to hold the line and wait for the 5090.

Hmmm... okay, having left it overnight and then having the same issue this morning (image below of the artifacting showing on monitor 1, bottom left corner with everything else blank after POST logo has displayed), I left it a few hours and have just checked the power connector which appears to be in perfect condition, so I switched off the PSU and hit the power button a few times to clear any residuals and I have a system that is displaying my desktop again. Maybe something else is at fault here, now not sure lol...

I had something similar with my 4080 about a month ago. It was the stupid Nvidia 12v connector that needed reseated.

Yeah read the TPU comparison where they concluded better than native. Yet the RR looked excessively blurred, like the textures hadn’t loaded.
Sometimes reflections aren't loading properly when using RR (tested on GeForce NOW Ultimate outside Embers where you meet Hanako), I think it's a bug.

I've also noticed some textures almost look cell shaded until you get close and then they pop in.

You sure PSU is up to the task? it's a demanding game.

I did have to RMA my Seasonic PSU previously because of a flaw that caused it to crash under heavy load.
It's Corsair RM1000x so it should be. I hope...

Which is pretty much what I did to solve it, having looked closer at the image I took it's not really the usual artifacting I'd associate with GPU death either lol.

Anyone else getting graphical flickering on characters using path tracing and ray reconstrustion on 2.0? Im on a 3080ti turn it off and use regular ray tracing physco mode and the flickering goes away. Already driver cleaned and reinstalled the graphics drivers.

Never mind that, does each load of Cyberpunk change from a random selection of NPCs?
  1. The waitress in the first photo not only has totally different skin - more than can be explained by lighting, and there is no way lighting can explain the change of hairstyle.
  2. The person in the 2nd row of seats: first he looks like a fat bold biker, then like someone in a formal overcoat which is a bit tight, then someone similar to the first but with a t-shirt instead of a leather/plastic coat.
Maybe mrk really is trying to get us to do a spot the difference puzzle?

Lighting:
well with TR, the hanging lamp is very poor as are the shadows of the bottles.
The dress? Well the first has far to strong a light; the other two, unsure which I prefer - the RR is softer but maybe too soft.
The ceiling texture seems overly blurred in the RR one. The floor tiles a little but not as badly as the TPU scene with the marble becoming totally blurred.

The real problem is that CB has too many simple textures, so for the table or the seating I am unsure what is better. With RR blurring textures a lot, maybe poor textures is purposeful?
Yes all the debris and NPCs etc can vary on each load as they are generated dynami, but the fps doesn't change as a result of that as these variations are non impacting. If there are 4 NPCs on scene one load then there will be another 4 the next load etc.

Why have the textures downgraded with Overdrive and Reconstruction? It's as if it's bugged and loaded low quality textures.

As for these, not sure, I restarted the game each run, maybe it's a bug in the settings like Gamers Nexus said?

I did a retest just now and got the following between PT + Ray Reconstruction vs normal RT Ultra (with RT Psycho Lighting):

RT Overdrive, Ray Reconstruction, Ultra GFX, Psycho SSR, DLSS Quality, Frame Gen ON:

RT ON, RT Psycho Lighting, Ultra GFX, Psycho SSR, DLSS Quality, Frame Gen ON:

RT OFF, Ultra GFX, Psycho SSR, DLSS Quality, Frame Gen ON:

RT OFF, Ultra GFX, Psycho SSR, DLSS Quality, Frame Gen ON:

Interesting to note the CPU workload being lower with RT Overdrive. Also nearly 4GB of extra VRAM needed to path trace and ray reconstruct vs RT off

I also found a clipping bug where you fall through the ground in this specific area:

It's here if anyone else can check too?
