*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

GFN is much faster than my RTX 3080 (anywhere from approximately 50-100% when not CPU limited), particularly in raytracing heavy games like Cyberpunk and DLSS Frame Generation merely enhances the experience.

I have my bitrate on auto and the rest of the settings are forced to the maximum values.

Here's a Cyberpunk built-in benchmark video I made comparing my 3080 with GFN Ultimate:

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who finds it a great experience, some in the GPU subforum would have you believe that's it's an awful experience and not worth £18.... despite having never used it themselves ;)

Btw great content/comparisons on your channel, I came across it last week and posted it in the GPU sub forum :)

Oh, thank you and I really appreciate that :) .

No idea what was going on here, I think the link will work not tried to share before.

Finally finished the game, bought it not long after it released but like usual don't have time to finish it in one big slog.

Apart from the annoying bugs, was a decent game overall. Not as bad as people made it out to be.

Looks pretty good on PS5, played the demo on there. Way better looking then on my pc or steam deck.

Wonder if expansion is worth getting

I got the Errata, finally

Now I can start refunding some perk points and apply them all to the way of the blade

Pay £18 for geforce now ultimate, you get a 4080 and the experience is better in every way compared to my local 3080 but only do it if you have good internet.

OK that is pretty impressive for £18/mth. I've got fibre arriving in 9 days too, very seriously tempted ;)

Wut, Nvidia run out of 4090's, or just being skinflints?

Being Scrooge with my money :p

At the moment, 4090 can't be justified for my needs.

Looking at that vid, £18 p/m doesn't seem bad value for money at all.
That's the beauty of it, you only got £18 to lose if you find it crap. No need to commit. People are right to be cautious of cloud gaming for the listed reasons especially when pretty much all of them have/are **** but as shown with evidence, geforce now ultimate is in another league.

I've uploaded some of my own videos here, not split screen like itrons but shows you another perspective confirming the same :)

Finally tried the new v2.0 game version and tested out Ray reconstruction.

Long story short, on my 3090 I'm getting significantly better performance than I was before. At 3440x1440 ultrawide and DLSS performance, full path tracing, ray reconstruction on, my same custom mix of 'optimised' general game settings + the new updated RT overdrive optimisation mod off nexus (link below) - I'm now getting above 60fps almost all the time and it's super smooth frame pacing wise! Before I was getting in the low 50's at exact same test points.

Legend. Been waiting for someone with a 3090 to post their experience, so PT is doable at 60 FPS :D.

Have you tried press and hold, to get the vehicle menu?

Any mods especially recent additions?

I had that before, i jusr restarted the game and it fixed it. Probably not that simple though.
I think it has persisted across sessions. Just one mod at the moment but that's for the intro loading screen skip.

Press and hold works.

EDIT: @jasoncb yeah it was a restart required.... must have been tired :)

Bah, I was near the end of my playthrough so had been delaying the 2.0 update to avoid making any changes to my game before I was able to complete it.

Stupid game auto-updated and the UI, perks, weapons etc are barely recognisable :( :(

I guess I'll just plough through the main campaign now to get it finished and not bother with a couple of the major side job threads. I'll revisit it in a few years when I'm ready to do another play though. Bummer :(

A few years

A few years

I'm a guy who is nearly 40 with a full time job and two young kids - my available gaming time is so low that replaying games is few and far between, especially when so many new titles get released each year.

My current Cyberpunk playthrough is the first time I've managed it since it was released.
