*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

I have noticed that as your level increases and your inventory basically has only tier 5 weapons, the gangs that appear when an airdrop lands have already started to unlock the drop crate before you reach the location, obviously they are far more powerful now too. The scaling factor to match your level for the NPCs are rather brutal in that regard and unless you are right next to a drop location, then you will miss the initial opening of it so I suspect some early loot will be taken by them too?

I'm a guy who is nearly 40 with a full time job and two young kids - my available gaming time is so low that replaying games is few and far between, especially when so many new titles get released each year.

My current Cyberpunk playthrough is the first time I've managed it since it was released.
Did you not consider that Cyberpunk would be coming out before having kids? Should have been a factor.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

If it screws up my save game data though, I'm hunting you down :D :D
This reminds me for some reason of that bit in Spaced, when Mike threatens Tim's girlfriend, "If you hurt him I'll kill you!" and then runs away OTT like a child, then Tim's girlfriend asks him if Mike really meant that, Tim laughs and embraces her, then pauses then says "...Yes!" Sadly the clips not on youtube to link, but if you know, you know!

The DLC was so good and complements the main game so well. Some of the best designed areas ever. Makes you appreciate surroundings so much.
I had fun when I was playing Starfield but man CP2077 is like on another level when it comes to everything.
So I'm not the only one that had to cheat on Starfield and immediately start playing PL then! LOVING it!

Started a new run, first time since 1.0, starting as Nomad this time. Slightly disappointed all the save games are lumped together instead of separated per character.

Had forgotten just how much fun messing around driving is.

ArmoredCore6 was great but a very different game. I'll go back to Starfield after a full CP run :D

Legend. Been waiting for someone with a 3090 to post their experience, so PT is doable at 60 FPS :D.

I think the new ray reconstruction tech only adds a few frames. The real winner is the Raytracing Overdrive Optimisations mod off Nexus. It's been updated and both visuals and performance have been improved. I'm even using the Ultra preset of it.

It's very much "luck-ish" as the crates will always drop within a 200m radius of you (from my experience), sometimes very close & sometimes right on the edge, and Barghest are there within 10 seconds of it landing, which has led to some interesting Barghest vs random gang gun fights I've seen erupt.

Personally I find the Optical Camo build, with a smoke grenade thrown at the crate, means you can get in/out with the loot with zero fighting about 80% of the time ***IF*** the crate lands somewhere isolated like on a ledge or up an antenna etc. If it's out in the open I prefer my stealth build with the Optical camo and Alex's iconic Tier 5 Pistol (guaranteed headshot when using Optical Camo) which usually gets me (80%+) in out without being detected but having to kill everyone (gets a little cyberpsycho :D)

This the one? I'm seeing loads of comments about it downgrading visuals massively..?

^ I'm using the ultra one. Has 2 rays, 1 bounce Instead of 2 by default, and uses RIS shadow tweaks.

Of course it's not going to look as good as normal, there has to be some compromise. I don't think it 'massively' downgrades the visuals and I personally think it's great as you get most of the benefits of full path tracing but with decent performance. If you've not got a 40 series card and can't use frame gen, Give it a go for yourself, what you got to lose?

Compare all versions:

Got the message trying to load up that there is a file conflict between the Cloud and local files.

GOG Galaxy cloud - last modified 54 years ago

This computer - last modified 54 years ago

Game takes place 54 years into the future.... Rogue AI from beyond the Blackwall messing with me? :D

It's the Blackwall AI in the deck you probably picked up, or have you not got that yet :D

I'm loving the Blackwall AI in the cyberdeck and the Militec gun that fires AI infused bullets that infects anyone you shoot.

My build is now basically exclusively a satanic netrunner with a thermal katana and a gun and nethacks that leave a ghostly trail and NPCs screaming red light out of their eyes and mouths like something out of Poltergeist

Not that far along myself.

Are you using any of the Legendary Iconic quickhacks?
