*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Update, this is absolutely glorious! DLSS perf is better than DLSS quality on the old model. 10 fps hit in black myth and SH 2 with the new model.

Even the folks over on reddit who hate TAA are impressed  The way it's meant to be played
Is new performance FPS better than old quality though?

Best thing is, come the new driver update, being able to take your pick of if you want the absolute super duper best IQ or slightly more FPS but given dlss perf with transformer looks better "overall" than dlss quality with the old model and performs better than this combo, it's an easy pick.....

Is that coming in the next few days?

Here you go, all 3:

I've just installed these and loaded in - preset J?

The game is updated with those anyway and using J, you don't need to do it manually :p

First impressions of the new DLSS file are really good but the clarity in motion seems to be massively improved :/

isn't clarity in motion a good thing?

What res/settings were you using? I was hoping I'd be able to play this maxed out after this GPU release somehow - without spending a fortune - I guess it's going back on the back burner for another 2 years.
4K, DLSS Balanced, RT without pathtracing, mostly Ultra settings. Playing it maxxed out (i.e. with pathtracing RT) and not spending a fortune (1k+ quid) won't be possible for a good couple of years yet. Will try the transformer perf DLSS - it would be cool if it is indeed as good/better than convolutional quality one.

The fact that clarity has improved so much, according to those who’ve been using it, sort of shows that those who’ve had it out for DLSS and reduced image quality had valid arguments. I’ve seen many people say previously that DLSS was better than native image quality. :’D
Clearly it wasn’t, with this significant improvement.

DLSS from v2 and more so with v>2.7 (certain presets were better than the default option depending on which version of dlss you were using) has arguably been better than native for a long time in most games (HUBs testing showed this except for the games where they wouldn't switch to newer version of dlss/preset, which would have solved the complaints they had along with if they had turned off depth of field, which is known to cause issues with upscaling), of course you will get people saying that's because you are comparing native + TAA, well yes, because if you turn off TAA, you then get completely broken temporal stability and other visual artifacts..... Now, with the new model, it's not even a contest, it has further improved upon the old model to no longer just match or slightly beat native but to supersede it entirely.

Cp 2077 has always looked better with dlss, gamer nexus were the first ones to state "better than native" in their video.

I'm interested to see how the 5080 handles it...i'd hoped to get a 2nd hand 4080/super but i don't think anyones going to be selling up... a grand+ for 16gb vram though :(

That looks tidy, how's performance? And what kind of RT/PT are you running?
Tbh performance isn't great, I'm losing on average around 10 fps compared to preset E on the previous dll file (3.8.10) - and my card is cooked in Dogtown

I'm running 4K maxed out apart from reflections, no raytracing. Still using preset J as yet to test anything else
