Cyberpunk 2077

Good fun so far, it’s a real time sink. Had to turn off motion blur.

Edit: didn’t realise I hadn’t checked vrr on the PS5 to apply to all games. Has smoothed this out beautifully.
Yup. Plays fantastically (finished it twice now). Just wish it was a tad longer ! Although I may be in the minority.

Picked a physical copy of this on Series X from Amazon when it was a tenner recently, because well why not. Was waiting for it to be fixed and patched up and in the bargain bins. Bought the maximum three you could, and sold two to CEX for £13, so cost me £4 overall.

Got to say, I am enjoying it quite a bit now. At first i wasn't sure - i think mainly because so little of the game is explained very well. I had to google a multitude of things to find out how they worked as I had no idea what i was doing. The tutorials are too bare bones for a game like this.

Now I am more into it and have some better weapons/tech/clothes etc it is pretty good fun.

There still seems to be quite a lot of silly bugs though (none game breaking so far). It runs ok though. Pretty much a constant 60fps on performance mode (a few hitches here and there in busy areas), and looks fantastic.

I can see that this game really had a LOT of potential. Some of the graphics, characters and atmospheres created are awesome. It still has its shortcomings though.

I sort of hope they make a sequel with the latest graphics at the time, and make sure it is polished to a T, because I love the dystopian future world they created.

It’s funny to still come across bugs. That said, it’s an incredibly immersive world and it all works much better now.

I’m enjoying it all over again and at least now with all the patches you can actually aim properly. Also enjoying the haptics on the PS5. My only drawback vs release on the XSX is that visually I’m sure it used to look better (perhaps they’ve sacrificed something to smooth it out more?) and the audio was better on the XSX, but that was probably due to my headset.

I’ve encountered a fair few minor bugs, but I must say I’m more impressed the more I play. They’ve done a great job of optimising and enhancing the game on consoles vs launch, it’a very smooth with vrr. Night city looks fantastic, sounds fantastic and it’s actually a busy place now with quite a lively feel. Now the game has opened up I can appreciate the work they’ve put in. They seem to have reworked a good few quests too.

Got the mantis blades…wow this instantly becomes a lot more fun than using guns :D

Realised I was quite far into the game and I’m at the point I can start the final act so just going round doing a few side missions to build relationships with the people

Mantis blades are a blast, just got mine again in this playthrough. Pretty OP with the right perks.

Yeah they are great, I really enjoyed gorilla arms too, wouldn't usually be my style of play but are crazy fun.

I mean with maxed out body, reflexes and then everything else into cool you basically become terribly OP, but it’s soooo much fun. The gunplay is much improved too. Focusing on all the side content this time round.

Still so so many bugs though, shows how ridiculous it was at release.
