Dalglish resigned/sacked?

Whilst I would have preferred the return of Rafa, I am quite happy with this appointment in his stead, he will be under pressure from the start though, the press will have a field day if he has a bad first game in charge.

Stupid decision by the Swansea manager imo.

Will go from being a hero at Swansea to sacked at Liverpool after a season, due to their ridiculous expectations.

I wish people would STFU about Hodgson, his football at liverpool was awefull, thats why the fans turned against him and he thought players like Konchesky were good, thats why we disliked him so much.

I mean we lost against Northampton ****ing town ffs

As long as rogers shows progress and doesnt come across as an arrogant **** and blame everyone apart from himself when we lose, then he will get a chance.

i'd lean towards this happening as i just can't see this working.

is he going to be big enough to phase gerrard out?

Why? Lucas is our only better midfielder and he's still our second best in the wide areas/front men

Also Gerrard would suit a more pressing style and possession up the other end of the pitch, none of this running back to get it of Reina business. But when the time comes I think he would be big enough to use Stevie in more of a Giggs/Scholes role, he doesn't strike me as a yes man pussy.

Happy with Rodgers. I just hope he gets the backing of all the supporters and hasn't been given stupid objectives by FSG. This will be a long term project and everyone involved will need to understand and accept we won't be competing with the best for a while.

Isn't that the point of AVB?

And he got sacked when Chelsea was in still with a chance of Top 4.

I see another Hodgson situation coming up.

Liverpool agree compensation fee with Swansea for Brendan Rodgers and three of his backroom staff.

How does Chelsea sacking Villas Boas relate to Rodgers and Liverpool?

Rodgers is in reality the owners first appointment and unless something dramatic happens, he'll be given time.

...according to SSN. They had to report that though after earlier trying to create a story claiming that the two clubs couldn't reach an agreement on the amount of compensation that needed to be paid.

That is EXACTLY what he did at Reading. Hope he's learnt from his mistakes.

Rodgers*

I've lost all faith in twitter so I'll wait for wait for confirmation on Clarke via the official site.

He hasn't taken an assistant manager with him. I think he's taking his 1st team coach, GK coach and conditioning coach. Another waiting game..

bit disappointed if he's gone honest :(.

can understand the new manager wants his own people in, but i think clarke could have made a useful contribution :(.
They worked together at Chelsea didn't they, wasn't Clarke No. 2 to Mourinho and so above Rodgers? Hard to see how it would work with Clarke now working under Rodgers, not impossible, but makes most sense to me that he would move on instead.
