'Dangerous Driving' by learner?

well generally she only drives my car when she's picking me up, or i've just driven somewhere with her.

test next week, so hopefully it won't matter soon anyway =]

Dear Mrs R Mxxxx,

We know you’re a lesbian, we have seen your My Space website and I am sorry but my student still says no, you’re UGLY! We also know your partner is Maureen from Driving School, I wondered where she had got to as I had not seen her for a while, so we feel able to bring into question your view on driving. My advice to you would be to get some more ponies in that blue heap of yours as it’s got not go at all, and we both got bored of waiting for you to come past so legged it. You might also wish to try using the pedal on the right on its own, and leave the one in the middle for stopping only, not resting your hush puppies!

Yours

PS. Debs from Cannock is fit as xxxx on your My Space friends list, can you send me her number as I would like to discuss motoring with her................and those marvellous breasts!

or

STICK HER ON YOUR IGNORE LIST AND MOVE ON ;)

People just cant drive.
End of story.
What we all need to realize is that, to the vast majority of people in this country driving isnt a everyday all day occupation or past time or interest. They cant get in a van or car like you and me and drive all day mile after mile and just get on with things, every roundabout every junction every overtaking maneuver is a "big deal" its like the people who drive at 50mph on a NSL road, driving is a big undertaking for them and they just dont like and just cant deal with it.
If a learner driver got up to 70, I'd be surprised as its not an everyday occurrence they usually dawdle dangerously on the exits of roundabouts so i dont go near them to get a better view of the carnage they cause.

I can't believe your learners can do 70mph

Ours are limited to 45mph until 12 months after they pass their test.

Meh... My girlfriend failed her test (has passed now) because a lorry tried to overtake her at the beginning of a dual and she "didn't let him pass". Some drivers are complete idiots and presume anyone with an "L" plate is a bad driver and end up causing the learner more hassle than the learner would ever have caused them.

Couldn't that be extremely dangerous in certain situations?

45mph drivers on NSL roads really get on my nerves most of the time. I guess plenty of others are annoyed by dawdlers too. Even if it never causes any untoward situation for the driver, it creates a dangerous situation where frustrated drivers perform over-ambitious overtaking maneuvers.

True but again thats the problem of the person who wants to overtake. If they have no patience then they need to learn some!

The driver needs to drive to the conditions and there abilities, certainly if a learner is not going as fast as you like then theres a chance theres a reason for it.

Either they need to do more lessons, (Fair enough) or change and get an instructor that will help them improve and enable them to make progress.

If its a qualified driver then its either their choice to drive slowly, (fairly inconsiderate with a que behind) or they need to improve there skills.

I got honked at when I took more care over pulling out into a roundabout (this was like 10 seconds into the time I had to pull away).

Ah well, 6 weeks and it'll all be over.

They're doing that round here. All the Lake Districts long straight roads are getting a 50mph limit.

Because that extra 10mph really makes a difference???

The only road in the Lake District that ever kills people is the A591.

What, the road is now armed with Uzi's? Whats it do? Wait round a corner then shoot some pooor unsuspecting motorist?

Alternatively I bet the majority of deaths on the road are down to lack of driver education and not being able to deal with an incident at speed.......

I LOVE other drivers who feel the need to pull someone up on their driving.

I would have a replied "There's a 'L' plate on the roof you silly ****, even though nor I or my pupil was in the wrong, what the **** do you expect?"

The scenario is this, this woman is doing 70 mph and trying to go faster, she can't for whatever reason, however she can note the drive in front is a girl and she can note down your web address from the car at this speed all while "paying attention to the road and surroundings". Yeah, right, lead by example.

Anyway, I like to make progress. I love my country roads and that's where I make the most progress. I love it when mid way through blind corner someone can take the time to flash their lights and wave at me while im still in their forward view. So, they're switching hands mid corner only holding the wheel with one, GREAT EXAMPLE THERE JIM!

The best ones are where you pass someone on a country road, yes its on a bend but you can see all the way up the said road for long enough to see if there is any oncoming traffic. They then speed up to then write on their hand or note pad while driving to take your registration plate. WELL DONE SIR.

You'd think I drove hellbent on the limits of my driving and car, but I'd say most of the time I was only half way there when these things occur. Never had anything back from any of this. Just too many miserable old ***** round here methinks.

He sounds like the sort of driver that's going to get himself and others killed.

Reckless speeding < *.

Can't say i wanted to get back in the car and haven't been in it since. He's just a ned tbh. I was meeting them at a cash machine on my bike.....did a skid/drift round a corner behind them in the car.....he pulls a handbrake skid round a corner in sainsburys carpark.

(pushbike btw)

Couldn't agree more. The kind of numpties that eff and blind at you for getting a bit close to them when they're crawling along a country road at 40mph but will then continue into a 30mph residential area still at 40mph. NOBS!
