come one man, while in an ideal world your viewpoint might be correct - in reality, not so much. if i call my mate a 'tard' it's a foul thing to call someone but a generally accepted insult among friends and very unlikely to cause them offence. if i called a disabled mate a 'tard' that's almost certainly going to cause them offence so context kind of is important.
I have (very) rare snaps of trying to make sense mixed in with all my nonsense. Occasionally
I get it, but I don't agree with it, we need to move on from stuff like this.

the baby isn't really mixed race though.
unless you want to call every person on the planet mixed race as we are all a mix of something.
all the colour has been bred out of it by having a white dad and grandad and a extremely light skinned half caste mother.
i'd be amazed if this kid gets treated as anything other than white during it's normal life. but all the hipsters and apologists will be there to remind him his granny was black.

So he's never picked up a newspaper in recent years and been treated to the hyped up saga that his meghan and her family? Of her white father being an alcoholic and generally making a fool of herself, of her crazy white sister, and how her being mixed race (mother black) is a great thing for society? The media as been fawning over meghan, especially because mixed race. I saw a news report when she came out showing her baby and the report was asking a bunch of school kids, they were all black girls.
Anyone who isn't aware of the constant droning on by the media must have tuned them out, which I can respect. But then it does leave that person open to making these mistakes.

Because I dont have an agenda and I'm not white I couldn't care less.
The baby is white to me as far as I am concerned.
If megan had married a black guy then it would likely be considered black or mixed / light skinned.
The media has made a circus of this and yes there are racial connotations between monkeys and black people but Danny didn't make those statements alongside the photo and it was done without thinking about race at all.
If the baby was black then I'd say it was very bad taste but it isn't.

In todays climate it's a pretty stupid thing to do. I was going to say he's 'of an age' but he really isn't and should know better. Did he miss the 'Cheeky Monkey' story?
Come off it. Megans mum is blacker than I am. Who would really look at Megan and think she is completely white?! Dark hair, dark eyes, broad nose and thick lips. Those are not the typical characteristics of a Caucasian. He'll darken up as he gets older (I was a pale little blob at birth) and the only reason he'll get treated as white is because he is a member of the royal family.
If he was anyone else and was just walking down the street when a teen he'd get called mixed. (not half caste....)

Yes like I said his granny is black but his mum aint and he certainly aint.
His mum looks white to me with a bit of a tan. More like a latina vibe than black to me. But certainly more white than black.
He will certainly be white and if he had been born to 2 uknown parent be considered white by everyone most likely.

The problem I have with the idea that Danny Baker is racist is quite simple:
Why on earth would it have taken this long for it to surface in any way shape or form? And in such a stupid 'overt' way?
The man has been in the public eye for decades for goodness sake and i do mean in CONSTANT communication with the public - literally his job to speak every day about his opinions on pretty much everything.
He made a dumb joke in a dopey moment that's all else he would have been removed from his position years ago.

Probably thats why you're missing an important part. If you were white then you'd know that if you post a picture of a monkey about a non-white person then you risk a backlash.
I'm not saying Baker is racist. I'm saying he should have been aware of the risk he was taking when he did that.
I noticed today he's given an apology and is acknowledging what I've said.

Most if not all of them are mixed rate now, some are even European to the dismay of "Black" Americans who get DNA tested.
