Correct DX11 is a paid upgrade which is a little extreme to me as well but thats the decision Namco made you need to buy the Scholar of The Sin edition in April

Also the game exe has been heavily updated its gone from 18.4MB to 31.6MB so a lot of changes have been made & 21:9 support is broken again for now until the widescreen plugin is updated.
Sadly there are none. If Hayden has had enough that's it for 21:9 no-one else seems to have the time\skill to mod this.Any ideas is there is an alternative to flawless widescreen for DS2? HaYDeN has been away from the forums a lot recently, and the plugins rarely get updated.
No option as DX9 saves are not compatible with the DX11 edition so its start again from scratch time for everyoneI'm going to buy Dark Souls 2 SOTFS Edition (never bought dlc)
I've got two characters/build on current game. Will be there an option to transfer them to SOTFS Edition? Why to complicate everything so much?
DX9 SOTFS is a free upgrade on Steam right now if you own the original game & all 3 DLC.How on earth are they getting away with this.
Absolutely scandalous strategy. I bet you there was zero reason why they couldnt release this 'new version' on the PC/PS4/XBOX1 at the original DS2 release date.
I hope this flops on the XBOX1 and it might flop on the PS4 with Bloodbourne coming out.
Certainly hope it flops on PC .... it wouldn't be so bad if it was a free upgrade if you bought DS2 + all the DLC.
Another bunch of muppets added to the blacklist. Welcome to gaming in 2015
so which mods is essential to play this?
None are essential. They did a decent job of the PC version this time around.
