Knew they were talking out their arse when it came to their 'dedication' to PC. So ****ing disappointed in this tbh, I bet it'll release running like **** too locked at 30fps capped at 1080p...

DARK SOULS II for PC and Steam is coming on 25th April 2014!
PC & STEAM version will benefit from PC capabilities with increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option. On top of that, FromSoftware have been working to perfectly adapt the game for a mouse & keyboard combo.
So they say......... Fingers crossed, although I don't mind using a pad tbh.
Yeah I hope its done well for keyboard mouse but like you gamepad at the ready just in case.
Nice to see the pc version gets a visual upgrade though
Hmmm don't know about how the game will performance but why are we paying more for DS2 than consoles ? I've got the Black Armour digital edition preordered for £17.99 with simply. They're currently listing it at £24.99 and there is a £5 off code which takes it down to £19.99. I'm disappointed the pc release has been delayed and looked at the ps3 prices and they were upwards of £34.

I thought that was obvious? The mouse requires hand movement, which burns calories, making you fitter and healthier.
Not sure what you are in such a tiz over - i'd rather wait a bit longer and have a fully optimised release.
As for the cost, most places are doing the digital black armor edition with lots of gimmicks and free easy weapons - the standard will be cheaper, just wait a bit.
I know a few people that used m&k.... weird I know but it still needs to be a viable option.
As long as it's released with smooth 60 fps and the x 4 res options and it works then i'll be happy

Indeed, but that isn't what they want to retail it at. Getting it cheaper elsewhere is also down to buying region free European keys which is a very poor example of pricing for most of the world. They want £40 out of us as though they have to pay for a licence to develop on our platform like they do consoles, in reality they are ripping us off, just like any title that releases above £29.99 unless it is a subfree MMO.
Yeah but what annoyed me was that they claimed PC was the lead platform over and over, the fact it's nearly a two month delay shows they started working on the PC version around the same time they got the console versions up to scratch. I agree, I'd rather wait and have it run smooth but that won't happen. Also I don't enjoy being lied to.
Now don't get me wrong, I love the souls series as well as other FROM titles. I was just excited about having a great PC version of 2 on time and up to scratch, but the delay goes to show it's nowhere close to being finished due to having less dev time than other platforms. They've just treated PC gamers a little badly with this which is cheeky after the effort that all the fans went through to bring the series to PC in the first place.

It amuses me that people are nit-picking over daft little things like no DX11. DS is about gameplay, regardless of lens flare, bloom and pretty little ponies.

I imagine it will be like the Drake Sword, doesn't scale or at least it's crap past a certain point.

Why are people shocked with steam prices? They are always the highest price with new games. I have never ever got a new game from steam as they are always £10-£20 more expensive then other places.

Dark Souls on there for £20 as well. However, it's a release key, so no fancy weapons to start with but I don't mind... No doubt they will be obsolete after the first few hours.
