Dark Souls 3

lol You going to go dexterity with that weapon? +1 it and the dexterity scales to C :) I've summoned a mad sign, went with weapon art on longsword, beating the living daylights out of him until a few enemies turned up and ganked me. Hate invaders who wait in a crowd of enemies as a trap, death in 2 seconds if you fall for it, and I don't like these fast characters who just want to back stab, no skill.

You know, I've never understood the scaling side in this game. I know the uchi is a hybrid between strength and dex. Favoring dex mostly.

How does it work then? I've already got it +1 though :)

Question regarding enemies that turn like the first boss did,

They seem solid, and ive resorted to running past them but i think i should be able to deal with them surely or i may be missing something?

Next to your attack power on the sword will be something like +33, the +33 is what your getting from both your strength and dexterity attribute on the sword. Strength scales with D on that, but dex C. So put stats in dex and you'll scale the damage on it quicker.

They are hard, and it is what made the first boss fight tricky. Shield up and get in close, shield down to recover stamina when you get the chance. Still using the spear?

My tactic for a boss like that is hug his feet and constantly rotate around him in the opposite direction to which he holds his weapon....so you are constantly trying to get behind him, while constantly hitting him....I didn't get hit once in that fight...if you stand at a distance you will invariably get smashed.

I'm at the Road of Sacrifices atm. It is a bit(well, very) glitchy. You know how drakes in the Valley of the Drakes would occasionally jump off the side for no reason?... Practically every enemy has done that so far!

Can you force vertical sync in your graphics card control panel? I had issues till I did this.
Always play with vsync its not that its something else probably because @ 4K the gfx look a little blurry as some of the textures are not sharp at all.

Strange as every other game seems fine. Must be Namco's newist P2D variation hurt the eyeballs as well as die repeatedly (this is the hardest DS game yet by far the church section is just ridiculous  ).

I was shouting at my TV for the Uchi guy to jump off as he got close a few times. But alas, no luck :(

I'd say the AI is fairly smarter this time.

Yea may try halberd! Sear seems a tad weak maybe just needs upgrading

If you like using the spear, keep. You can get another spear like weapon as a drop which has more range(and damage). Halberds can be awkward at close range combat. and it won't offer much more damage then your spear, especially if you've upgraded the spear.

Bit disappointed with the scaling on the halberd actually, had great intelligent scaling in DS1 but has none in this, my magic build will be different for sure :)

You do know that you can hit with the spear with your shield up? You will be steam rolling them in no time, just good stamina management.

A little help with some direction - (spoiler for a mini boss/NPC in undead settlement)

I have just killed the fire demon with help from Siegward, is there a way our of that area or do you have to use a homeward bone?... Don't néed anything specific just a confirmation of whether there is a way out.

Cheers

Also, Vaatividya- 10 early game secrets is a good video he has just uploaded.

I've just refined enfused mine which balances out the str/dex scalling to c/c. Seems pretty nice so far with 17/17 str/dex and +2. +2 fire long sword still out damages it but it kinda feels cheap to use :p
