I had to put 5 points in Faith because of the chime requirement. Don,'t tell me you can cast the heal without it....

It's ALWAYS the same with the souls game, you learn the hard way You can buy a talisman from Firelink for 500/1000 souls which just needs 10. But there is a positive, cool miracles later and more healing than what I get with 10 faith.

Hi all, should I buy and play DS1 and 2 before this? I'm interested in playing but don't want to miss anything from earlier games. Would you recommend the earlier games anyway to someone who hasn't played and DS?

You don't need any previous experience. I think this, so far, is the least stressful souls games plus there's loads of people playing this to help you out if you're finding it tricky.

EDIT: If you like this and get good at it, I'd recommend Dark Souls 1 once you've finished this. It is a masterpiece, and has an excellent mod to sharpen the graphics up called DSFix.

I might start again tbh, wasted points. But there is an NPC who can let you re-spec up to 5 times. Just don't know how long it will take to get to her.

The only miracle I use is heal. Add one to faith as a knight and you can have it cheap. Also, add one to intelligence and you can have the magic weapon buff, which you can buy off a NPC in Firelink shrine, pretty early in the game.

Knight is a stress free class, and since you have done all the areas up till now, it won't take you long to get where you're currently at.

Warrior looks good.

Sorcery would be tricky methinks.

Soooo, anyone got an answer on why I can set fire to a random stand in the chapel where the lady is on the throne (tehe)? On the left as you enter the double doors after the knights in the red capes. In the High Wall or Lothric.

I seem to have set the whole place on fire...

I can't decide between Shields. I don't parry much tbh so one that allows you weapon arts is probably best, but I really should be parrying more.

Right someone please tell me how this game is getting 90% reviews ! its baffling me , I think this game is 100% terrible , really bad port from a console and the game play is just boring , There is nothing i like about the game , played it for about an hour now and I just non stop die over and over lol great fun not......

I still don't get it , Don't get me wrong I play all the newest releases and I will go and right a good review where it is due but this ? Seriously ? Its just so bad its unreal , when you get in too the game there is nothing telling you what do or how to play , I've played around with all the attack movies , I just get killed over and over and currently at the moment the only way I am killing bosses or what ever you want call them is from glitching them ! Yes they all seem to glitch if you move out of the area they are in lol ! that is so lame , that shouldn't be happen in a game.

Maybe I'm just playing it wrong but so far I am not enjoying it at all in anyway what so ever.

Yeh dark souls is meant to test you and make you get better at it. It's the whole idea behind it being so rewarding.

Game does have a help system the first 30 mins of the game via the bloodmarks ( Ie tells you the mobves and what todo) the easier enemy's and mini boss.

Some people think it's like god of war or darksiders get a sharp kick in the **** very quickly the reviews explain this from the past games and even this one. So it still baffles me how people fork out 40 quid never played one before or even read reviews and shocked at how it is lol.

all these games get 90% for a reason.

I have to say to people who are disappointed with the level design, I couldn't disagree more. I have been to Lothric, Undead Settlement, Road of Sacrifices and Cathedral of the Deep and they are all top class imo.

I think it blows the original Dark Souls out of the water in terms of level design tbh.

PS. Been whacking everything like a lunatic and still not come across one illusory wall... Everyone keeps telling me there are loads!

So the game is "so bad" because you're not patient enough to play it properly and just decide to exploit glitches that are inevitably going to be there upon release.

I have not come across an illusionary wall after 30hours play. They must be in the game as a written template is there to choose to write message hints.
