Difficulty in places is excessive you really need to spend hours farming souls then upgrading stats to a high level until your ready to face some of the more extreme bosses. It does not end with a boss fight some areas have loads of mini bosses you have to beat every time you want to even retry the boss fight!

Maybe if you had ditched the guide and explored you would have solved your issues.

Loving Irithyll. Great area with loads of hidden bits and paths. Looks amazing too.

Got invaded by a guy with kinda invisibility...well during his rolls. he was eating my health away. I need a better weapon than the deep axe. Anyway I had a sliver of health left (no time for estus) and I ended up running in circles around a post/bench thing knowing that any minute the cavalry wud b arriving lol.....true to their word 2 blue sentinels stormed up and he ran away haha.

I use the thing that makes you invisible when rolling. It also boosts dexterity. Perfect for my build.

I like challenging games, never played any of the Dark Souls games though. I've just picked up DS3 on a whim.

Silly me I summon a purple (mound eater covenant) for help as there were no other colours except purple signs. As I'm waving he fires into me. So I'm fighting him and a dark spirit invades but he strolls up and just watches...then. Then 2 blue sentinels appear..don't know what happened next as game crashed (first proper crash)

Don't think I'll be summoning demand purple ones

Currently exploring irithyll dungeon. It is massive with some of the many different ways to go. Can't remember the last time I used a bonfire and I have no estus left!

I think I may be here too early as well.

I've spent 24hours and must only be 1/3rd through, but I have checked literally every corner, not using my guide though, not as much fun for me personally, I love surprises(in games)

i look until i cant find anything more... then ill go back and watch few YT vids to see if i missed anything then i know for my 2nd playthrough then!

Dancer of the Boreal Valley is a little bitch.. dont think ive got enough endurance or dex for it yet

Sick of NPC invasions. They can back off and heal too easily and seemingly as many times a they want.

Same ive bought the guide for the collection and for lor tidbits later

I think a guide would spoil it for me TBH. Although it would settle the unease I get when I'm lost with no bonfire in sight

Agreed. They just pull you to enemies also, so you end up fighting 3 enemies and them. What type of person gets a kick from that? Very annoying. I did get summoned to help someone so made sure they didn't ruin the fellow covenant players work.

Agreed. My first play through on all the souls games from demon's through to bloodborne was without a guide. Surely it would take away a large part of what makes these games so edge of your seat tense and crazily satisfying.

Wolf Greatsword +3.. its weapon skill is nuts does so much dmg and has really nice move set..

I like the Dark Sword. Hits like a truck with heavy mod ans a str build. It's quick, it has a varied moves set. It's probably one of the best choices when using the shield at the moment.

I like the curved sword you get from irithyll from those Knights. Great Dex weapon, though it hasn't got great scaling, hits really quickly and has a good weapon art move.
