Dark Souls 3

The only items that change in NG+ are a few rings, not even all of them are changed to +1 versions... And of course you will already have all of the armour and weapons. It isn't n the same league as ng+ from dark souls 2 which gave you New enemies and enemy placements.

Better to start a new game, as at least then you will have a reason to collect items.

I've actually just started NG+ on Dark Souls 2 and I see what you mean. Right from the start it feels different with more enemies and it already feels a decent bit tougher too. I still prefer DS3 in terms of the game itself but a patch for NG+ to add a little more challenge would be more than welcome.

Why would they change to +1 versions if they are new rings? And of course you most likely will not have all the items(as you didn't), armour and weapons. Plus you can complete NPC quest lines if you missed them. Then multiplayer and covenants. Amazing value game, I reckon I'll get 500 hours out of it, and will no doubt return to it in the future!

Plenty of games add nothing at all in NG+ and are still fun, besides one of the main reasons for going into NG+ in Dark Souls is the increased souls enemies drop which let you buy talismans and resins much easier than spending hours upon hours farming a decent path in NG.

My PVE character (SL200) is in NG+4 atm and those golden angel knights drop over 100k souls per run plus tons of chunks. Finding this out has definately given me the plan to take my PVP characters into NG+ as you burn through talismans and resins like nothing, especially in invasions, and they aren't cheap to buy en masse. Plus when you have a way to farm a few million souls from PVE content, you start to care less about your souls between invasions if you die to a gank squad. Unless you're in NG, lost 400k souls on my SL80 PVP character because I forgot to pick them up between back to back gank squads. In NG+ you wouldn't care, in NG it's like... well **** me.

Is the iythrial sword good? got it from the little ice dog, I forgot the name and can't see it on the wiki, but it's appears to be a recommended weapon. 1 more level of dex to go!

It's pretty good. It's not super special, but it's a decent weapon and it looks awesome to use. Requires Twinkling Titanite to upgrade, though. So hopefully you're getting all the crystal lizards you come across.

Oh that's the weapon that uses it, I just dropped off items to pickle pee after using the tree glitch, not spending 20K souls for that!

I need to farm titanite shards to upgrade that first, but it's a lot quicker than me deep battle axe..

Irithyll Straight Sword?
No - It scales poorly and requires Twinkling to upgrade (which are basically non existent) and cant be buffed in any way.

Im currently using it in my second run through and it is a serious handicap. Looks good though! :p

I used the Irithyll Straight Sword for a while and found it pretty decent, but as noted it can't be buffed and Frostbite is a fairly useless status effect. Switched to a Luck/Faith build instead with Anri's Straight Sword and Darkmoon Blade.

Oh, well my battle axe is still 172 dmg, should i up to to 192?

or what weapon to go for? Im on the wiki looking at what each enemy drops in each location. I'm trying the black knight but failing, and ran into the Crystal Sage with no estus lol

Just use whatever weapon you enjoy. All of them are viable for PvE. I generally stick to faster weapons, personally. Too much punishment for missing with an ultra greatsword or something, and I'm not that good.

Incidentally, they've rolled back the broken 1.04.1/1.06.1 patches that were causing the massive stuttering. It's completely smooth for me now.

The Sunlight sword is the best straight sword I've used, but get it late game. I used infused fire long sword early game, heavy Great Large Club midgame, heavy Drakeblood Greatsword late game, and now Sunlight Sword and a boss ultra greatsword(get name later) for PvP.

Once I've upgraded my luck enough I'll be doing another playthrough using the Sunlight Sword/Drakeblood sword/ultra great sword and in two minds whether to max out my club...

Lol finished the whole game just using normal long sword maxed out, just couldn't find weapon that i really liked the damage output and stamina usage.

Sort of a challenge run, or just decided to run with it? I've got a Butcher Knife which seems good but my STR is way too low atm to use it effectively.

Tips for unkindled watchdogs in road of sacrifice? they move way too quick for me..

Going through the Grand Archives - man, the level design in this game is just crazy good.

I've got a variety of weapons I'm using. Main one is Sellsword Twinblades. Also use the Uchi, the Washing Pole and a Halberd. Depends on mood and situation. All are Sharp infused as I ended up pumping tons of points into Dexterity early on, so I figured I'd keep with it. Twinhanding everything, no shields, no magic, but I do use a bow for any ranged needs.

Interesting build :) Your bow must do a ton of damage!

Just got this for the xbox one, so I can play it in the living room when I get the chance. Started Knight again, but have yet to decide what build to go for... might start again and do magic, something completely different. Parrying seems better since last patch.

xbox version is technically hogwash on my 4k tv... my 970 and samsung 27" curved monitor blows it away, 60fps helps.
