Dark Souls gameplay discussion - spoilers ahoy!

Smough and Ornstein is a hideously annoying boss fight.

I managed to kill Ornstein, but Smough killed me, on the next attempt I killed Smough, but Ornstein gains new abilities and again I died. I get so annoyed that I just run through the start to the boss battle now, I'd rather not waste my flasks on the sentinels beforehand.

I can punch out the damage easily, but when they are both on me I can't get away fast enough. I have been trying to split them up but they refuse to do so.

I could only get through this by getting help. If you're human you can summon Soltaire from just outside and I also got help from a player.

I'm in anor londo so they are next in my sights, I have called in help in a lot of my boss battles, some people see it as an easy option but its just playing the game using the excellent online system.

Got over 30 hours in on this already and I still love it

I farmed the rats under the dragon for 20 minutes and only got one humanity. Which is better than nothing, but I would have liked 3. So I made it all the way back to the area before the boss and summoned the NPC.

He did a great job of tanking one boss while I bashed the other's head in. But then as the next stage of the fight begun my summoned NPC managed to get stuck on a pillar, leaving the boss and myself to fight, and just as the NPC came free I was caught by some sort of impale attack that killed me outright.

I'm throwing in the towel with this game, I got pretty far, but I just can't hack it any more.

I think I'll get into Batman, it's been sitting here since Friday and I've only played 20 minutes of it!

You'll come back, they always come back....

By the way where is the npc summon for anor londo boss? would be mucho helpful as i dont have live

Wow finally got strong enough to become Havel, the armour is unbelievable, the dragons tooth is a little sluggish not sure if ill adopt it over something like a lightning broadsword but its certainly a sight to behold kills everything, im still amazingly too weak for the shield, need 10 more levels which will make me level 90!!

Just up on the left near the Knight archer. You should be able to get a pc helper too from just outside on the bridge. There were a few guys hanging out there when I did it.

I did look around for a player summoning stone but couldnt see one and I didnt want to hang about too much just incase someone invaded me.

I think it's best to leave Smough till last, he doesnt gain new attacks and he's slow when doing them giving you plenty of time to dodge. But if he does hit you, it's going to hurt, a lot.

I get awful slowdown in Blighttown, about 3 frames/week, which make parts of it unplayable .

Maybe that's the point, to make it more difficult  :p

Seriously though, it was mildly annoying in places though never unplayable, but how they passed it through testing when compared to the rest of the game I don't know.

Whats crazy is the slow down is all due to the lighting engine, look at when it happens in blight town almost exclusively when you are in a torchlit area, absolutely crazy not to rework this as it does negatively impact the experience3, its just plain sloppy, good job the game is fantastic!

Aye I get problems going down ladders though, or when you have to jump places, or the narrow walk ways that move. I get frame lag, and then sometimes just fall off things.
