Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

Had a few drinks today.... Entered the painted world and got totally annihilated by the pinwheel things twice and lost loads and loads of souls and humanity:p... Even knowing areas/enemies, you still have to keep concentration at all times! Especially as I haven't leveled vitality much, so it doesn't take many hits to kill me

The titanite demons are unforgiving at the best of times, I really hate fighting them, even more so on NG+.

Titanite Demons are only annoying until you learn their safe spot.

If you hug their leg stump the only attack that can hit you is their jump, and that can be avoided by rolling.

so just started playing but am trying to pilfer a corpse but cannot get to it.

its at the start on the left staircase which is broken and cannot climb it so i take the right which you go to kill the asylum demon. Theres a locked door when you go around which i presume leads you to the corpse but i cannot unlock it.

any help?

You will have to look at the wiki really to find out about humanity and stuff. It is very important, but isn't explained in-game.

I am in the catacombs atm, and I hear there is a blacksmith in here, I missed him on my first run, and can't for the life of me find him now?

Became human and got invaded by someone who dropped a divinity blade +10. I picked it up and now one hitting mobs making the game a lot easier than its meant to be i think. Well at least until i get to higher levels.

I just found Nito insanely difficult, as I didn't remember any of his moves at all... Then on third attempt, once I had got the hang of it again, I killed him without being hit:p(except for the spike attack through the floor). Can't believe I did it on my first playthrough without taking out the skeletons first!

Also, just got invaded by someone in the catacombs, who got me good and proper by setting up a trap ... Fair play to him:p

Few questions:

Whats the point of collecting stuff such as weapons and armour, can i trade for souls?

How come sometimes at a bonfire i have 10 estus flasks but sometimes i only have 5?

i sometimes see notes on hidden passages but how can i access these?

Thatll do for now :)

1. I assume you are referring to all the rubbish like having 25 hollow soldiers helms:p...you can trade them later on in the story if you want, though you don't get much for them. If they are cluttering up your inventory too much, just stick them in the bottomless box

2. That is kindling. When you kindle a bonfire, it changes the amount of Estus flasks you get.

3. Firstly, remember that anyone can put those messages there, they do not have to be true! There will be many different ways to access hidden areas, it is never telegraphed though. If you find a hidden area message, try exploring around the area to see if there is anything you can do....also, if you have a specific one, I am sure nobody would mind putting you on the right path;)
