Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

ah ok cheers. First time it happened I couldn't attack the moss covered npc and died from him hitting me. second time I got disconnected after noticing another blue guy. Think I'll swerve this for now.

Started this last night, played Demon's Souls a while ago so it's familiar enough to feel comfortable at the beginning. I must say the world so far has been great, better than it's predecessor.

It's refreshing playing games like this where the story is in the background, so many action rpg's rely too heavily on the story and in most cases they are terrible, generic c grade Hollywood scripts.

Any advice for a fledgling knight would be appreciated :)

I was thinking of getting a PS3 just to play Demon Souls, then resell it when done.

Didn't play God of War I & II HD and then III I presume? One of the best damn gaming experience of my life. Only reason to have a PS3 IMO.

God of War I and II were originally for ps2 so I won't count them. GoW III was cool but it just isn't challenging gameplay wise imo, I prefer games with a challenge rather than those with fancy graphics.

Snap, do you have a list of 5 that you find the hardest but most rewarding? Going of FPS so rather not have those in your list :)

Didn't play it on Chaos then? Harder than about 75% of games, about as hard as Warrior/Mentor in Ninja Gaiden. Certainly harder than Dark Souls, well at least it was for me.

Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, erm... Can't really think of any more, maybe Just Cause 2 on hardest, although that's easily managed with the stupidly abusable A.I. Probably Amnesia from what I've heard, and ArmA II. Civ 5 on hardest with high Barbarian is quite rewarding when you start to slightly break even. :p

Add Ninja Blade to that as well, which is also done by From Software, game has 60fps as well. Hard game and rewarding, one mission can take 50+ mins with no save points, you do get checkpoints though. But if you have to go out say bye bye to progress :)

(GOWIII) Tbh that just made enemies more difficult and gave you less HP and all the regular jargon, it just required a bit faster combo mashing from my experience :D (don't get me wrong still a great game, but its a different kind of difficulty, more of an odds stacking rather than skill imo)

And my list I really don't know atm, BUT I will get back to you when im on my pc! :)

Does anyone else get random fps drops? Can happen anywhere in the game and will just vanish after 10 - 30 seconds.

Using DSfix 2500k, GTX 670.
