Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

I did have Ninja Blade on Xbox 360, nailed it on hardest iirc, not a candle to NG for terms of grinding.

DMC > all other hack and slash actions games in terms of difficulty. a lot will disagree, but you know why it is? Anyone, and I mean anyone, with enough patience, can grind through Ninja Gaiden/Blade & God of War etc. You'll die a lot but you'll get there, as is the case with most games.

Devil May Cry is another beast entirely, in order to truly succeed at it, you have to of course beat it on Hell & Hell mode with full SSS mission rankings. Nobody can grind that, get hit once? Dead. Can you block? No. Fail a few combos? Bye bye SSS rank. Waste your chances at building points by repeating similar combos? Again, bye bye SSS rank.

I haven't played Bayonetta (although I might just for dat ass ;)) but isn't it from the creators of Devil May Cry 1 or something? If so it'll hopefully be like Devil May Cry. But yeah, if you want some true satisfying, difficult games, grab some Stylish Hack & Slash games (an actual sub genre btw) like the two mentioned previously.

I bought Devil May Cry 4 for the pc after playing the demo, which I enjoyed. In the end, all the button mashing made my thumbs ache, and and on top of that I concluded it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I haven't been back to it since. :D

A Ps3 is definitely worth it for Demon's Souls if you like Dark. You then get to play Valkyria Chronicles, Journey, Uncharted series and Wipeout but in my opinion the controller is horrible but I can deal with it.

Demon's Souls definitely runs a lot better, the framerates are much more consistent but I guess that's because it's not as pretty as Dark.

Edit: I have played Bayonetta, I thought it was hard, but I'm terrible with games with so many moves and combos. Great game though with some really funny cut scenes and overall style, but the ps3 port is really bad so play it on 360 if you can.

It is like DMC, only with better combat, bosses, and leather clad ladies :D Best in the genre.

Just managed to snipe that pesky red dragon on the bridge with me +50% Attack when <20% ring, using Greater Soul Arrow. That thing was doing my head in for ages xD

did the ice cave lol @ the invisible platforms wanted the dream sword from the boss but didn't want to risk it with no flask uses or humanity uses :(

Never not being able to login to GFWL, so if you use your online profile offline do you still get achievements. I guess you do as it is still your online profile and not the local offline separate ones you can make.

Started a new game as Pyro, have no idea where i'm going to go with him though... Any ideas for a nice build guys?
