I killed the Helkite last night and it didn't even drop it's Drake Sword.
Yeah you get the Drake sword by sniping its tail off under the bridge.

Yeah you get the Drake sword by sniping its tail off under the bridge.
Couple of questions:
1) using the res fex, some odd issues though, the darkness of the game is insane! Have to bump it to 10 to make the left symbol barely visable. Thankfully it's just about playable and adds and edge!
2) What now? Totally forgot what to do, been too wrapped up in getting goodies lol. Killed the gargoyles, got the axe and shield from the first one. To be honest, 2 min fight with the drake sword. Very easy and quick. 9 hits per gargoyle.
2a) I have killed the board and opened the gate behind it. Easy peasy, killed the sorcerer at the top of the balcony leading to the gargoyles, seen the blacksmith and melee killed that lightning zap dude (took 2 attempts). Ventured into the forest area and got to the doors and remembered I need that 10k soul key from the blacksmith, so can farm souls for 30 mins to get that. But I cannot remember the next part of the story??? In the sewers with those BEYOND ANNOYING spores and rats. And the butcher dude to kill.
Should I go to the right of those doors in the forest and sort out that butterfly boss? Grabbed the normal soul arrows from the dude behind bars down the lift to the city where all the ghosts are. So she will be pretty easy.
Oh, one last night, the writing tool... To leave online messages, I must have missed it as I can't remember where to get it or find it with any of the NPC's. Really can't remember.

Didn't know it had to be shots to the tail, on the Xbox 360 I shot him in the face then pelted him with arrows when he was on the bridge from below near the rats and still got it.
1) no idea.
2) go to Blighttown through the Depths, go into the door opposite the door which leads back to the Taurus Demon's bridge.
3) might as well do Darkroot for extra lewtz, grab the Elite Knight Armor if you haven't already. Kill the Hydra too, he is incredibly easy as long as you get close to him and past those missiles he shoots.
So, completed it. Had already gone through on the 360 first time around but did it this time coop with a friend who was new to it all.
Generally I'm not a bit replayer of games but god it was as good as I remember! Not usually a fan of crappy ports either but so easy to look beyond that with this and the resolution fix just made it all the more beautiful!
Got to say being human all the time this time I played meant a lot of invasions and it was great fun! We died a few times even 2 v 1 but always fun to get your own back on evil intruders.
Heres hoping they make a new one...and on pc from the outset too! Hope their sales have been good.

Just reached Nito, is it best to wear full poison resist for this guy? Just died the first time and almost got instant toxic.
Sooo, killed the carpa demon, cleared the depths thought really annoying loot above the rat, can't remember how to get to the body...

oh well. Time for a break. Any other suggestions other than bright town? The poison is insane from those fat guys and the dart shooting zombie guys lolOut of the game now haha.

Those poison dart shooting fellas in blighttown do not respawn so you can just suicide run to kill them in turn if you don't have any white purple moss.
Well, I was doing really well until my world got invaded and I got owned very fast. Been keeping invaders at bay, 4 so far and killed all of them. This one pretty much killed me in seconds
Yeah the place is annoying with them :/
Have you been through Darkroot Garden and DR Basin yet? They're quite easy.

Maaaan! I just lost 18k souls after killing the gigantic rat in the sewers, i slid down that waterfall after killing the rat and fell to my death! On the way back i got lost and i fell down another hole lol, and got cursed by these gecko things with big eyeballs. Now i have half hp because of the curse

Yeah I got cursed by those frog things too, I hate those frogs with a passion. You can buy a stone to purge the curse from the chap in the bell tower near where the bell tower gargoyle boss fight was for 3000 souls, the trader in the tunnel that links The Depths/undead Parish has them for 6000.
