Got invaded then I got a summon sign. End boss is a little to easy with two people, I suggest doing him alone.

Nah, go ATI. I got an nvidia gtx560 ti last time around, and it howls like a banshee whenever I start up any halfway damanding game.
It also heats the room for me

Had no idea about this game and bought it just to keep me busy a few days before Borderlands 2 release.
But damn, I have not picked up me preordered B2 yet just because this is the most awsome game evar
No planst to play anything else for many months to come. Game is just so freaking good. So high quality game mechanics I have never seen.
Bought a 360 controller and its a dream to play.

Same here with my 560 gtx, soon as it goes over 70 fps it sounds like a jet so I try to cap to 60 as much as possible

Yeah I have not touched anything since this came out, don't forget the res fix, I would avoid the 60fps fix though if I was you.
Yeah, res fix is installed. Tried the mouse fixes also but no it was just horrible with the negative mouse acceleration.
Res fix and up the res in the ini file on depth of field and its beautiful
I bought this cheap last night, started playing this morning, i never did any serious research into this before i bought it, so didnt know what to expect, i wasnt even sure what the gameplay would be like.
so far i've managed to die, a lot... get lost, die a bit more, have no idea what i'm supposed to be achieving what my goals are or where i'm supposed to be going, to me it just feels like i'm wandering in random directions killing loads of skeletons until i come across some random enemy thats next to impossible to kill.
so where am i going wrong? i can live with the dying part, but why do i feel like i'm wandering around without aim?

Hi steve45, the game does kind of drop you in the deep end a little bit, but its well worth sticking with and you will love it.
I guess you have arrived at the fire link shrine from the sounds of it, the first area I would suggest tackling is the "Undead Burg" which is up the narrow staircase to the right towards the bridge you should see in the distance. Your initial objectives are to ring two bell towers, one in the "Undead Parish" church bell tower, and one deep underground, you will find out how to get down there later...
The skeletons at the start in the graveyard are best avoided until a little bit later in the game and you have managed to get hold of / craft a divine weapon, which will kill them. They reassemble themselves otherwise! (fire weapons do the job too, but they come a bit later).
Its also worth focusing on vitality (more HP) and endurance (more stamina, can wear heavier armor without a movement penalty) for the first few level ups. I would then recommend deciding on what sort of character you want to play as and sticking to it, a jack-of-all-trades beyond the early levels is fairly difficult to play with.
Hope that is of some use, its well worth giving the game some time as its definitely up there as one of my favourite games

Has anyone done or does anyone know of a good, high res Dark Souls (or Demon's Souls) play through series, preferably with commentary? I really enjoy these, but some of the ones I've seen don't get continued to completion. I appreciate that Demon's Souls will probably only be around 720p at the most.

Damnnnn I need to get back to this with NG+ and clear up more achievements. When GFWL dies which I believe is soon I take it these will still work and the achievements will still unlock. ie we can still sign in after xbox live hits win 8.
GFWL is already dead (Batman Arkham City GOTY on 2nd Nov is looking like the last ever retail release in UK) but the infrastructure will be around for several years so any GFWL purchases made in the next few years will still work ok as its cheaper for MS to maintain all of those servers than stop the LIVE features from working. All Windows 8 is doing is bringing casual XBLA level games to PC it makes no difference to GFWL (other than most of the GFWL team moved onto Xbox LIVE For Windows so no more GFWL development AFAIK).

How do you remove curses? I've just got spanekd by that dragon boss in the crystal cave and when I revived it said I was cursed.
You can buy curse purge stones, cheapest soul cost I can remember is 3000 souls from the chap in the bell tower, just below where you rang the first bell.
Try Epicnamebro. He's currently doing a series called Dark Days which is released daily and will be done to completion in the next week or so probably. There are already 17 episodes up
.I know this is probably too late to help you specifically but for future reference you can kill those clams outside his boss room for Purging Stone drops that cure curse. Pop a humanity of two (So that you have a couple of humanity in your counter in the top right) and equip the Gold Serpent Ring if you have it and you should get at least one every time you clear the room.
As a side note for Seath; make sure to destroy the crystal at the back of the room and stay as close as possible to his right tail and just wail at it. He shouldn't be able to hit you if you stay close enough

When I did a format to install Win 8 fresh I also forget to backup my GFWL saves lol, so yet another game I have to start from scratch, doh.
I've seen this guys previous work and have been subbed to him for a while, yet I haven't checked out his Dark Days series so I think I will now, thanks

.Oh yeah, does anyone have any framerate issues in New Londo? Everywhere else is fine for the most part other than a couple of framedrops here and there but New londo consistently gives me very noticeable lag. It makes an annoying area even more annoying.
