Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

Have you watched any videos on youtube, opeth?

Normally, rpgs are not my genre (I even struggle at times with The Witcher), but this one really ticks all the boxes for me.

Yea I have been looking at videos on You Tube.

It looks good. But is it?

Reviews seem good accross the board.

It never suffered from 720p res, as the fix was out 16 minutes after the game launched. Although a lot of people are up themselves and won't play the game regardless of fixes due to them believing the developers should fix it mer mer mer mer.

No offense intended to anyone.

Yes, it's for the res / fps and more, such as SSAO, etc.

I'm finding 30fps more than adequate (lovely and smooth); I've read that 60fps doesn't necessarily make the game better in all respects.

is the dsfix the fix for 60fps and resolution?

dont really wanna play this game with 30fps!

30 is smooth as silk mate, you won't even notive, I think I'm playing at 60 most of the time, that's what it feels like.

Yeah 30 fps is perfect for Dark Souls, feels way more like 60 in most games, whereas 60fps feels absolutely fail, like the game is sped up by 1.3x or something.

I agree 30fps is fine for Dark Souls, however I wouldn't go as far as saying it's silky smooth and you can't tell the difference between it and 60fps!

I changed the resolution in that file to 2560 x 1600 but in game only comes up as 2560 x 1444 or something -.-

# internal rendering resolution of the game
# higher values will decrease performance
renderWidth 1920
renderHeight 1080

# The display width/height
# 0 means use the same resolution as renderWidth/Height
# (use for downscaling - if in doubt, leave at 0)
presentWidth 2560
presentHeight 1600

Game starts in windows mode every time :/ Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
