Dark Soul's: Prepare to Die Edition (PC)

Anyone car to suggest a weapon?

Crystal weapons are too fragile for extended use, and they can't be repaired. You can use it for the Depths boss fight if you want though.

The halberd is a good weapon, found outside the church in the Parish (you probably already picked it up). Did you pick up the Large Ember on your way through the depths?

Also, what's your GFWL username so I can add you for some jolly Co-op :D.

I oddly really enjoy the depths, cleared already, every nook and cranny. On my first play through I got stuck there for weeks. Refused to look at guides. Anyway, now know the place like the back of my hand haha. And welcome and frog battles! They are easy, lure them in, watch then swell up, back roll. They jump to you, swish swish swish. Dead. You have 3 ticks until you are poisoned.

Anyway, yea, collected the ember. Still using my drake sword and want to use something else, have the halberd... I want something quick and stabby :) But with chunky damage. Got the great axe from the gaping demons tail (360 dmg!). But requires 50 strength lol. I'm going for a STR/END build btw.

Want to don on heavy gear but be slightly nimble.

My GFWL is freshage-live :) I'm level 34, about to level up though. Set my self up with a decent weapon and tackle Blighttown :) Which might I add, is where I have always stopped. So about to tread unfamiliar territory.

Unfortunately these don't go hand in hand :p. Quick and stabby is reserved for Dex/Quality weapons. The Halberd is fairly quick when you connect with an enemy (you on whiff when you miss) and one of its attacks is a stabby attack :p.

I can't seem to add you because it won't let me type '-'. Add Moothead2 and I'll add you though that :).

My bad, FreshageLive lol. Hmmmm, ok, so what weapon then? I really don't want to be lugged round and slow. Like to be nimble. Currently these are my stats... All over the place :(

If you're going for a strength build, look to some of the larger weapons, like the Great Club (found in Blighttown), which only requires 28 strength to wield one handed (19 strength to 2 hand). On my strength build I used that, and the Demon's Greataxe (which requires 32 strength to 2 hand, and 46 strength to 2-hand). Using the Demon's Greataxe and various buffs, I was able to one shot a lot of bosses, including Queelag.

I'm a big fan of the Butcher Knife as well. Dropped by a Black Phantom enemy in Blighttown (so you'll need to be in human form at some point), it only needs 24 strength to one-hand, and has B scaling with strength. It's not the most powerful STR weapon, but I was a big fan of the moveset.

I'm going after that butcher knife in a moment :)

Can someone link to the the DSCfix? The steam community page isn't loading!

Moothead2, utter legend :D Helped me defeat Queeleg or what ever her name is. I had never been this far before! Then we eventually ventured to the next area. I got my butt handed to me haha. Stupid balls!

Oh and what the hell is with a chest eating me! Did not see that coming, jumped out of my skin!

Even after buying the limited edition on the 360 on release and now putting in almost 30 hours into the PC version, I still don't know a thing lol.

What level are you currently at? I'm level 46 currently, and if you're within range (over SL31 I think) I'd be happy to help you with Blighttown if you need it.

Edit: Nevermind, I see that you've just done it :)

Just killed the Gaping Dragon and got into blighttown, was doing well the first time and managed to find a bonfire but rolled off the edge and died instead of lighting it :(

I beat the 2 gargoyles last night and rang that first bell, so i guess i go back to the boss near the black smith? Just doesnt seem like i do much damage to him!

I did sprint past him and end up in the darkroot gardens or something, i guess its a case of just exploring and going back if im not ready?

Also ive picked up a lot of weapons now, should i be usig the longsword and upgrading that or is there a better type of weapon for the warrior that i may alreadu have?

I do have the drake sword but dont wanna be overpowered and take aeay the feel of the game

Regards
