Dashcams!

Thought this was a mildly interesting opportunity to check that my dashcam actually still works since I've literally not touched it for about 2 years.

Might wanna pay attention, mate.

I thought he was either going to hit the car or swerve into my lane at the last minute.

You're supposed to remove the memory card after every trip to send in clips to youtube compilations of slight mistakes made by other motorists. Silly.

Nice save. Many women (in particular) think they own the piece of road they want to be in as soon as they start signaling. That precludes looking and stuff like that. You'd even get honked on if you actually mentioned anything...

Does anyone know why my F770 isn't liking some memory cards?

I've bought one of the Transcend high endurance 32gb cards and a Toshiba 64gb card and both are not working with the dashcam, it gives a "memory card error".
They both work with the PC, and an older Samsung 64gb card works in the dashcam (as does the card that came with it).

Don't bother trying different cards on the F770, been there done that, waste of time
my Transcend seemed to work for a month or two then the F770 buggered it up somehow, i stick with Thinkware and never had any problems

There only meant to be a few micro SD cards that will work in the F770

I use a SanDisk Extreme 64 GB microSDXC Memory Card with my F770 and it been fine so far..

Not much point as all it will see is the dash and the rest will be obscured by the bonnet. Needs to be as high as possible to get best view of the road ahead.

I am now on my 4th dashcam! cannot of for the life of me find a decent one that is small/discrete yet has decent video quality.

jeez.. :| any recommendations?

Thats a very good point. Hmmm, its just the wiring that's really putting me off

Not fitted one that isn't east to tuck into the head liner and then under the trim of the A pillar (front or back of it depending on if you have curtain airbags). Then under the dash trim to the 12v socket. You can get piggyback fuses for a couple of quid if you want to hard wire it. More secure up top if you leave it in the car 24/7 as if it was on the dash it will be stolen.

I don't know if I dreamt this, but was there a dash cam that was integrated into the electrics of the rain sensor. Like the camera and SD card slot was under the rain sensor.

Does that exist? My fiesta has a bulky rear mirror connection attached with a plastic shroud.
