Will let you know, ordered one from the China warehouse, not been charged before for higher value items from China so don't foresee a problem.

If I hadn't seen this lunatic coming up in my mirror and gone on the breaks so he could pull in, this could have been nasty. Car coming the other way was almost off the road avoiding the idiot. He does it again further up but you can't see this so well.

Had 2 0806's die on me now. Cheap pieces of crap but I don't know what else to replace it with that is the same sort of size/form factor.

poped into maplin earlier had some on display but they looked really big to me bit to obvious to leave in a car.

some bloke got out of a car at some lights on me way home haranguing another driver much finger pointing went on face red as a beetroot lol god knows what it was about.

would have been fun to capture on camera.

maplin and Halfords don't sell the Chinese ones like the mini 0806 which is very small, which I always leave in the car

Quick question though, I'd like it properly wired up so it turns on with the car etc. I am the least practical person in the world and would have no confidence in attempting to do it myself. Where could I go to get it fitted and get a good job?

Look at blackvue products for higher end stuff. I did have one go wrong, but the UK disti replaced it quickly.

Sorry to jump in with a question that's no doubt been asked in the thread elsewhere, but whats the accepted go to budget camera at the cheap end of the market? My father wants one for Xmas.

ordered a wedge cam from china should be here for the weekend according to tracking, anyone had a go at hard wiring a dashcam into a mk 2 focus? might have a try if not too difficult.

Hard wiring is much easier than you would otherwise imagine. A quick youtube search will show plenty of guides!

The Mini0805 is a decent camera for around £50 - Some have had units that failed, others work just fine. For £25 ish more you can get the 0806, which is better featured.
