Wow, I never thought I'd see this much hate for a game.
Personally I think this is everything Dawn Of War should have been. The first was fun for five minutes until you realised that the 'strategy' in the RTS name was almost non-existent. Build many marines, walk onto the enemy base. Just ended up being a clash of armies and no tactics whatsoever.
DOW2 however is such so fantastically done that I just can't wait. Sure there's a few balance issues (Marines DESPERATELY need a Devastator Missile Launcher/Lascannon team) and turrets built by Commanders need to be toned down but other than that I cannot fault this brilliantly tactical game.
Oh wait, one gripe. When you get a Dreadnought or Killa Kan (Or whatever they're called in this, Deff Dreads?) or maybe a tank, you badly need to be able to set waypoints for their movements. All to often have I had my Dread just walk straight over the cover my marines were using, resulting in no cover in the area I was holding.
