dude everyone got it wrong apart from 2 members, so i dont know what your talking about. the problem here is about converting months to year to days then to a week and then showing them where they have gone wrong, most if not all got it wrong and should go and re do maths again.

A week in August runs from 1-8-15-22-29-31, not 1-7-14-21-28-31... :rolleyes:

Thats 4 weeks PLUS two. Look at this years August Calendar. You'll see that there are 4 tuesdays in August over and above the 1st (which is a Tuesday), and the month ends on a Thursday. Theres only ONE day after a tuesday to get to Thursday 31st.

Therefore, by elimintaion, that makes it four weeks and two days.

Check for yourself and show me the third day.... :rolleyes:

actually my 2nd post was about both and how it should be worked out, date and pay were related to show and help people understand what i was on about.

The real dislike was that every jumps onboard as a critic and then later on disappears when its starts to fall in place, and thats the main problem iam having at the moment. Try to explain about the difference between months and weeks, just cant seem to get her to understand because she keeps repeating this is how we do it, and me iam not on a weekly contract but monthly for one year.

We've given you all the answers you could possibly want - I think people are also fed up of repeating themselves, hence why they have "disappeared".

Firstly, thats American so it cant be taken seriously

, secondly, look at this way.

I get up at 7am on Tuesday the 1st. Follow 24 hours from there, and I end up at 7am on the Wednesday, that 24hour period is one day. Work it like that and you'll see that seven days takes me to 7am on the 8th. One week. I work my weeks from Tuesday to Tuesday. Doing it from Tuesday to Monday is only 6 days to me.

Ok so, midnight Saturday to midnight Sunday is one day agreed?

Days = 1

Midnight Sunday to midnight Monday is again, one day.

Days = 2

Midnight Monday to midnight Tuesday is surprisingly, one day.

Days = 3

Midnight Tuesday to midnight Wednesday is uncommonly one day.

Days = 4

Midnight Wednesday to midnight Thursday is a gratifying one day.

Days = 5

Midnight Thursday to midnight Friday is (nearly there now) one day.

Days = 6

Midnight Friday to midnight Saturday (and starting again at the beginning) is a stupendous one day.

Days = 7!!

Ok so we have 7 days in a week. August has 31 days. 31 / 7 = 4 weeks, with 3 days left over.

SO August has 4 weeks 3 days.

This is my last post in this thread.

I am TRULY shocked that there can be a debate here on how many days there are in any given month based on the number of weeks in that month. Then there are discussions about how to calculate how many days there are in a week.

NEVER in all my time on these forums has a thread left me truly aghast at how stupid some people can be. Not even the plane on a treadmill thread contained this much stupidity.

My cry to GD:

PLEASE, PLEASE seek some sort of education! You appear to need it FAR more than you think you do!

the point was relating months to a year then to days then in to weeks and this was linked to money, which has a different effect on the whole year and how a month is calculated via days in a year, that was my main point.
