Is there a problem with dead players loot? Im wondering because ive killed people and when i loot them they completely disappear with the loot.
WTF is this.....
 
Mouse over the gun itself, if it is ruined then that could be the reason. If so there is no way to repair it so just dump it. As mentioned could also be ruined ammo, not sure if the split trick still works or has been patched. However before if you split ruined ammo you'd get half pristine, half ruined. Just keep splitting the ruined ammo and you'd get nearly all pristine.

Gun and bullets are pristine. Gun in had and pull the trigger and [click]. No bullets loaded. The text does also mention about the .44 version. Are there .44 versions in the game and maybe I have one of those. The text is not so clear.

Yep have been using that. Does not work on my laptop though (flash version issues I am guessing) so am having to [ALT]+[TAB] to view the map which is a pain. Ended up visiting just about every forest around the NE airfield on the way down to the SW airfield getting very lost. I think I found the edge of the map at one point (flat featureless green ground with no trees. The grass just stops on a dead straight line).

I kinda like the fact the FNX doesn't come with magazines, you can sort of imagine would ever dropped it or left it behind hit the magazine release in a panic. Anyways you couldn't chamber single rounds before, so count yourself lucky.

Kinda frustrating to find a gun, find bullets (both of which can take a fair amount of effort if the server has not just rebooted) and still you cannot use it. I have not tried the two barrel rifle yet but at least I can load it.

The missing pants have returned. Logged in last night and the missing items were all back.

My other character I logged out of by the NE airfield the previous night and as I logged in it seemed like the server had just rebooted so a quick run through the airfield and I am now better kitted out. Still only the two barrel rifle as the only usable firearm but have various ammo, a couple of 5.56 mags, UK assault vest, a FNX (without mag) to go along with my magnum (both not able to use) etc.

Hopefully I will get up to the SW airfield tonight and find a large military backpack as I am just not able to carry a lot of the items I want to take.

My characters are energised and hydrated. Is there a positive status for fully fed as well ?.

Do zombies still walk through the walls? If so its a fail, they shoulda fixed that before increasing the strength of zombies.

On a sidenote i just had another epic win! Once i again i squad wiped a team of 4 while going solo in Berezino on Hardcore.
However body looting is not the same, the loot disappears after the body has gone within seconds...

Anybody know what this is? A bug maybe? Its in this video at 3.55

there is quite a lot of changes i noticed in a hr on the experimental patch.

zombies now are stronger more damaging faster. buildings have been changed in certain areas.

when going in water lakes you now get wet and soaking wet i think this is the new effect system coming in for weather and health.

Whereabouts? :D I was getting frustrated with always spawning in the same couple of places on the east coast.

Never actually made it to Elektro in the end, but there are police stations everywhere which is nice. Lots of new weapon spawns.

New driver released today for my GTX 295 do i have to do the SLI fix again ?

Edit: Having tested this, yes even without using the clean install option you'll need to re-do the fix after each driver change.

It looks and runs great on my system on the highest graphic settings. Only problem is, nothing really happens in the game. Or is it just me?

Get yourself on a busy server and head to a town like Elektro, plenty of "stuff" will happen there. For me the fun is playing with other like minded players as a unit, interacting with other players in the game in what ever way you see fit.

What figures are you getting with those settings mate?
I'm running an I5 2500k @4.0ghz, 8gig of ram, 580gtx, intel 160gig ssd

Game is installed to the SSD and I understand you have a better card than me but my 580gtx isn't exactly slow, specially as I thought this game is CPU bound 95% of the time
With everything on normal or trying a mixture of normal and high, I struggle to get anything over a slide show around citys. With you settings I bet I'd even get spikes down to 30-40 fps out in the forests.
 
Well at least one of my characters seems to be corrupted, at least in part.

THe mysterious missing pants that returned were in ruined condition (before going missing). I found some pristine cargo pants and had a difficult time getting the old ones to come off from my characters inventory. It took a long time but finally I managed to swap them.

The magnum still wont take the ammo. My son also found a magnum and loaded his without an issue so it seems this particular magnum / ammo has an issue. I will do a bit of testing againstwhen we play again.

I have a yellow protective case in my inventory. I took it out of the hunter backpack to check the contents and then could not put it back in. After a bit of testing it seemed like two of the slots it was occupying could no longer accept anything. This later changed to only one slot that I could not put anything in to. I found another hunter backpack and swapped them over and the issue went away.

Lack of communication...

So we found ourselves at one of the larger towns south of the SW airfield. My sons character has a bright yellow rain coat. I have olive green stuff, a chest holster with gun (no mag), cowboy hat, blaze two barrel rifle.

To my surprise we find a church with the doors open (all the previous ones had been unaccessable), so we go strolling in only to find someone inside. I type "hi" Then think rather than holding an axe, my rifle would be better as they also had a rifle. Well they pull out a machine gun and start hosing the church enterance from inside. I am luckily just behind a post at the door and he misses me. My sons character gets hit and has a broken leg and is bleeding. He crawls away and applies a bandage. I back away slowly still using the post for cover. We spend the next 20 minutes moving gingerly around the church and close buildings trying to find sticks to fix the broken leg but finally decide he has jumped off the server.

We then spend the next 30 minutes trying to move to the next town with me running and stopping to wait for him crawling to catch up. It is at that point that he mentions he has a morphine auto injector :). Quick use and we were away again.

The reason I mention communication error is if I stopped to think about it from the other players perspective it may have looked something like this...

Whilst inside the church looking for items, when two people appear at the door. One in hi-vis bright yellow jacket and therefore fearless (or stupid) pointing a gun at him, the other holding an axe and then going for their gun. They say something that could well mean "Drop your pants and bend over, we are going to loot all your stuff" (playing in Asia so not everyone speaks English). These two people are also blocking the only exit and there is no decent cover in the church... Reaction, hose them down and log-out.

I also later found out that my son was pointing his gun at the other player (he was out of my characters view) but he had no bullets :(.

Oh well. Lesson learned. He now no longer wears the bright yellow raincoat and doesn't point it unless he is willing and able to use it :D. I also found some bullets for him...

Making the Zombies more powerfull but not stopping them going through walls is just going to make it that much more difficult. I have been attacked numerious times whilst juggling my inventory around in a house with a zombie just charging throught the wall. They can usually get a hit in before I can get out the inventory screen and if they are more dangerous then it is just going to get more frustrating.

The getting wet and soaking sounds reasonible as long as it is not applied from rain that is still also not stopped if you are inside a building.

Getting structures to affect other elements in the game (zombies, weather etc) would make the game a lot less frustrating and most likely have a big impact on a large number of players. The other issues would then most likely become a little more tollerable.

massively frustrating night here :(

Playing with a friend who is 'accident prone'. Last week he accidentally drank disenfectant, died. Today I hear him say 'oops, just used morphine on myself'. Not a problem, until 30 mins later you fall off the control tower at the NEAF and break your legs.

So off I go on a heroic quest to either find sticks for splints, or an injector. Check all the closest buildings as I see sticks all the time, NONE TO BE FOUND. Ok, head into Krasno, search every single building, loads of loot as the server recently reset but nothing at all. Tried a different server, nothing.

Now I've made a list of what I did find across about 5 servers, 4 hours and many miles:

4x Blazer 95's
3x Mosins
1x M4 at airfield
2x Shottys
about 100000 SKS's, these seem to be ridiculosly common now

Shed loads of ammo for everything
about 5000 medic bags with nothing useful

NO STICKS, NO MORPHINE.

I've played for 4 hours now on an empty recently restarted server, worked my way all the way back into Berezino looking for ******* sticks to find an injector at the noob spawn :(

Next time he does this he gets a Magnum round to the back of the head.
