***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

They respawn now, so can be a real pain in the larger towns and cities. Especially if you keep shooting etc.
 
in svet just now killed some americans who were giving it large :D was great laughing at them with their legs broke. got a few other zombies were very annoying and with them re-spawning made it hard especially fighting other people :D.

desync was quite bad on a few servers though tonight.
 
Turns out it's not just the zombies or bandits you have to keep an eye out for.

You also have to worry about your "Friends".

One of my group decided it would be funny to shoot my kitted out character in the face.

One is unamused to say the least >_<

However it was funny that it drew the attention of some other players who proceeded to attack the group I was in :D

New PC components on the way so no more low quality graphics and choppy gameplay :D

My friend basically decapitated me with a fire-axe a few hours after I'd found a Mosin and ammo for the first time. He claimed he wasn't even looking at me and we were no-where near each other. I saw otherwise.



I call shenanigans :p

He claims it was in response to me mercy killing him with his own axe. :P

In my defense, he'd broken his legs and crawled to the nearest town in the hope of some medical supplies. In the end we agreed to share his loot and hand it back when he respawned. To save time, I killed him with his own fire axe.

I was being humane ;)
 
I do love some of the encounters you can have with others. Me and my brother are on experimental and running to Balota. He noticed a guy all in white following us, they guy had no gear so we just let him follow us.

We both have SkS and ammo but painted them after this encounter so we hit that bug!

The guy caught up to us, and he had a friend that we also spotted. He had a gun but didn’t use it so I am guessing that he didn’t have any ammo for it. We gave them a warning to say leave and we wont kill them….no communication and the started to run to us. I opened fired on them and killed them both.

Are the Zombies hitting harder on experimental server? We got over ran by zombies at the beginning of my new spawn so I only had a crowbar, had to run to my brother bleeding to death because he had medical supplies. I have never seen my screen get so grey! I must have been really close to passing out.

Another time he tried to give him a blood transfusion and messed it up, he ended up taking my blood (which I was already low on) and made me pass out! I also used a defib machine on myself while trying to revive him and then knocked myself out haha

I would call shenanigans too, it's amazing how people you thought you knew turn on you in a hostile environment especially when you have the only gun.
 
Another week and no patch again to stable.

Why bother having Alpha if you wont let the players test the flipping stuff, just chuck it out there and let us play ffs

What will happen now is that more will get added to .42 and that will become .46 or something and will need another week in Experimental to find out its crap and thus cant go to Stable and we carry on and on and on
 
Does anyone bother going to the NW airlfield these days? Spent a while up there and seen absolutely no one, where is all the action these days?
 
I normally do a NW airfield & barracks south of it run to get geared up, its normally pretty quiet and then you can come down through Zelenagorst if you want some PvP

Its weird that in the mod the north was the place to go if you want to get a bit of PvP but in standalone it all on the coast? but you do get righteous kills on bandits that are hijacking and killing new spawns

Lost my geared up character on logging in again last night and spawned at the coast, thats getting a bit annoying, espacially as there is an update tomorrow :(
Oh well at least I can try and find a bow and arrow or throw cans of food at people :D
 
I love this game, but does anyone play this as a group?

Ive been playing alone recently but tend to find most people I meet are douchebags in the game! Id like to play with some other guys here, but dont really know where to start, anyone willing to offer assistance?
