Doubt it will ever get much better, well when Dean said he wanted to rip out A2 to get huge performance increases, I can't see that happening as the performance is still shocking.

Its worse than the mod, you go from 60-70fps out in the open to less than 25 in most of the cities.

Terrible idea of an engine to build this game on.
 
The delay is mainly down to them avoiding adding any gaming breaking bugs to the stable branch as per the FPS VRam bug previously. No doubt there would be plenty of moaners if we did have weekly updates but they were adding serious bugs, you can't have it both ways unfortunately.

Gear: Tactical bacon configured and spawning on the server

Although I would like to see stuff like:

mouse acceleration less retarded
zombies not walking through walls
not randomly breaking legs on steps
dropped loot not vanishing through falls

I'm still having fun playing it but something similar and more polished will soon replace it at this rate of progress

Hiding in walls, floors fixed yet ? If not whats the point of adding tactical bacon. Fix the main issues with the game. Even I'm starting to get annoyed now.

6 weeks and not a sign of a fix in place :o
 
Well they've been busy fixing other major issues, otherwise we wouldn't have a Stable release today. I can't say the hiding in walls, rooms you can't enter is a major issue for me though. Sure its annoying but in all my game time I've only ever been shot by a wall glitcher once. I've been killed many more times by desync issues, so would rather they sort that out first tbh.

They've not fixed the negative acceleration, players and zombies clipping into buildings yet?

I very much doubt that to be honest, sure it may well be a factor but there are desync issues on every server. I find it hard to believe that on every server there are people stuck in walls. It seems more like a fundamental issue with the engine and its current use of non-guaranteed updates as mentioned in the devblog (unless they've already patched that).

Anyone who has played Arma 3 Wasteland or Altis life will know that Bohemia Interactive don't exactly have a great grasp of this issue, even in fully released titles. I just hope they can sort out this issue before release, but that is a long way off so there is at least a bit of hope they can.

haha i have a massive thread on official forums about mouse acceleration. trying to tell people its better to have none is very hard work. :(

thing is on the latest exp build which went up then down yesterday it was even worse. they then listed in a blog it was realistic and a feature of arma 3 :p
 
Lightning effects especially in buildings seem much better now. Also re spawning zombies are irritating. Logged onto a server at NW AF, shot a zombie and more came running. Probably killed around 30 - 40 zombies just running from 1 end of the airfield to the other.
