The concept is brilliant.

The game? I wouldn't say its pretty good but thats just my opinion.

It feels like it was whipped together over a weekend on a generic engine.

Theres 1 character model. *1*

And now they currently have can't support what they want, so they've decided to start over from scratch.

Rust is the game I'm massively annoyed with, not DayZ.

DayZ has made a HUGE amount of progress since its release, people are just either too blind or ignorant/jaded to see it.
 
SA gameplay is just not as good as the mod, which is why I rarely play it. And making it hyper realistic which is where they seem to want to go, doesn't appeal to me.

If were talking about bargains, Arma II + OA for £15 and Arma III Alpha for £15 (iirc), now they were bargains. And I very much doubt SA will be the gift that keeps giving (in terms of mods/addons) as A2/A3 are.
 
ArmA 3 Epoch does look like it's going to be very good.

I think you've definitely come across as a rose tinted glasses fan boy. You've also managed to refer to people with a 'meme' calling them retards from airing opinions. An opinion a lot of us seem to share of this most recent news, or the game in general.

I really don't believe that DayZ SA has made loads of progress since it's release. Lots of hats maybe and some good ideas but consistently poor implementation and performance has only become worse. I wish they had used the A3 engine instead of modifying the take on helicopters engine.

I've seriously got to stop drinking my coffee while reading this thread, every time it delivers a winner of a statement like this

It reminds me of some people's overly enthusiastic reaction to "The Matrix" when it first came out... "Right thats it, all film companies should just give up now because this will go down in history as the best film ever made"... You seen it recently?

Actually yes, I have to admit I am a Matrix fanboy and I think they are great movies still. But hey that's just me :p I still play the games on the PC, they work fine with 8.1 as well lol. Although I would not say the best films ever made, that award goes to Jason Voorhees.

That's the problem most of us have...apparently it's made a "HUGE" amount of progress yet it's still a terrible game.

My main gripe is the fannying about with cosmetic and aesthetic changes without concentrating on getting the broken base game fixed first.

And yes, before you jump on it, I play this every time a new patch comes out for a good few hours in the hope that it's better, it rarely ever is.

Not even passive agressive as if you even suggest you still enjoy this game it is suggested by the majority that you should be locked up in some facility for the insane so most of the people who do still like the game dont even bother posting, leaving a I hate Rocket thread

Every time I venture in here I get a picture of hoards of people with pitchforks and burning effergies come into my head, maybe the masses are right and I do need to be locked up :D
 
well there has been heated discussion about this on the forums. mods have been hiding posts saying about how slow the progress has been and frankle has also made a video on his thoughts on it.

im not a big frankie fan but its quite close to the truth.

Yeah fair enough. I was including myself there too haha

The engine does suck though. Zombies clipping, dsync... it's worse than BF4 and that's saying something haha
