***Dayz: Stand Alone Thread***

I was going to say, that was one of their main goals... I'm sure it will be better than the mod!

Anybody know whats happening with the Day/night time cycle... hope to god they dont do what they did in the mod... I want to be forced to play at night time! thats what Zombie apocalypse is all about

The SA won't live up to a lot of peoples expectations. Why? The same reason they don't find DayZ enjoyable any more, the initial random encounter element has grown old.

Nice image, absolute hate the fact he's added Payday faces... It seems he's reaching a little now, trying to steal idea's from different games! Really really put off by the mask.

The fact he was willing to stream the game live means its ready to go, just clearly having problems with stability. However as DG pointed out yesterday they seem to have a stable server with 50 people online!

Funny thing is tho, any money when it comes out people will be like "He should have just been honest and said its not finished and pushed the release back".

This has gone a bit crazy!

my original point was not to make this a game breaking point. It was only an observation. We've only seen a few video's and 1 stream. I could list 1000's of things i like/dont like.

While others might think "arguing about masks, REALLY?". Yeah its pretty pointless, but when practically EVERY poxy screenshot/video is of players wearing poxy payday masks then yeah, why shouldn't we voice our opinions. Judging by peoples responses, the masses dont want everyone running around in pay day masks, dont get me wrong if it were a rare rare rare spawn then fair enough.

Best response was, rags and balaclavas are a better option than endless payday masks... This isn't Warz or Payday!

HELL a much more pressing point in my opinion is day/night time...Surely it has to be a universal time across all servers?

Yeah but question is, how is he going to determine who these "core people" are. Will there be a huge price for standalone?

Personally i'm not to bothered what state its in, i'm just looking forward to being part of the process of Alpha, to Beta and so on! Dayz Mod was the only ever game I actually took note of the patch notes!

Look at BF3, when the Alpha came out people were starting to cancel their pre-orders... Just utter morons! Like I said, If I spend week gearing up in Sa and for some reason I lose it all, I wont go nuts as its just an Alpha!
