US: DC's Legends of Tomorrow

I thought I read somewhere that there is a possibility of Affleck's Batman making a cameo in SS?

Can't find it now!!! :(

It most likely will have bruce wayne appearing but probably not batman, so yeah suicide squad is part of the new rebooted DC universe films.

So is wonder woman, flash, aquaman and cyborg I would have preferred martion man hunter but he would be CGI overload and too similar to superman I guess, so they went with cyborg to handle the geek/techno stuff instead which is still good enough.

What the hell? So theres a Flash TV show and a Flash movie, but they aren't linked. Then in Arrow theres a Suicide Squad, but they aren't linked to the Suicide Squad movie. So is the Flash movie linked to Batman vs Superman?

How can anyone say this isn't a mangled unorganised mess? I can understand having multiple 'universes', but having the same characters or concepts at the same time going on in different universes! Come on, thats just "argh we need to make everything we can to catch Marvel argh make more make everything argh!" right there!

I think DC have a much better and unique opportunity here over Marvels method in the sense DC owns all there big A, B and C list stars and every character from the DC world.

Where as marvel can't even mention the word 'Mutant' since Fox owns that right or discuss X-men or the fantastic four they can only tease their presence or make off handed comments like in Captain America 2 before that hydra agent got chucked off the building he said they targeted the baxter building, it means nothing to anyone but the Fantastic four lives there.

I hope marvel discussed a cross world deal with Fantastic Four/X-men since they would be stupid to not have especially after Sony teamed up with Marvel.

It's actually pretty simple. They're keeping television and movies separate. If it's on television, it's not connected to the movies, and vice versa.

I prefer it that way tbh, want to see what they can really do with the flash with a big budget. The TV show is good, but it's not fantastic. And I can't imagine a lot of the characters transferring well to the big screen. Grant is good, but he's pretty dull in the show (compared to his smart-mouth comic counter-part). Think I prefer Cisco, character wise, to the flash at the minute.

Having a TV universe and a movie universe is fine. The budget and production difference means they can do very different things with them.

But having the same characters in both at the same time? Come on, you can't tell me that's a good thing? Most casual viewers are going to be confused to hell! My GF, I expect like a lot of people, doesn't even know which characters are DC and which are Marvel. Having to know that, and then understand which separate universes within each they are watching requires a level of understanding a lot of people won't have.

I had this same conversation with a mate at work today and hes of the same opinion. DC have come up with a lot of very good and interesting ideas, and then ruined it by panicing and doing everything at once :(.

Never said it's a good thing. I just prefer it that way. I can tell the difference, and that's all that matters (to me).

Probably not good for DC and some of the audience though, you're right about that.

Hope this is not any major spoiler but hawkman and vandal savage are confirmed for legends of tommorow but they will both pop up first on flash/arrow ;)

I know it doesn't go down to judge in these parts, but this ticks all the wrong boxes for me. Cold and Heat were awful in Flash, and so far DC have failed imo in all but one of their shows.
Marvel all the way for me. DC is cheeseeeeeeey.

Yeah I'm not sold by this at all, I hate most of the characters in it (captain cold and hot guy are some of the worst characters I've ever seen, it's bad enough that they keep showing up on the flash)

Trailer looks good but quite honestly I don't know if DC know what they're trying to do.

I suppose a lot of the sentiment about DC would be different if it wasn't constantly compared to Marvel.

I can't help but think that in the main DC have dropped the ball.

Sorry I don't agree at all. I think the DC shows are very enjoyable. The storylines are more compelling and to be honest I prefer the DC characters.

I actually like Captain Cold and Heatwave for reasons I have explained before. On top of that, seeing they have been moved into their own storyline they must be pretty popular. I am looking forward to seeing how they change their destiny from an admittedly cheesy character to a Legend.

I think Rip is lying about them being Legend's. He's gone back in time, found a group of people already thought dead, or that no one really cares about that are expendable and won't mess up the timeline if they suddenly disappear. They just take it he's telling the truth and it's a self fulfilling prophecy...

Each to their own. I don't doubt some people like it. I don't however think I am in the minority in hating cold and heat whatever their names are.
Fake IronMan and Johnny Storm don't bring enough to the story either, for me of course.
Worst of all though is how DC seem to have such infalible characters turn into giant mangirls, until their sidekicks come up with some off the wall retarded solution.

I will rant no more as it's boring and as they say, if you have nothing nice to say, etc.

well I for one will be happy to see some more of
sarah lance
I hope her increasingly tight clothing continues on in this series

I'm looking forward to this, though I'm hoping the lead-in is done with the crossover episodes (I'm watching at UK pace). Setting up LoT has taken up a lot of screen time, particularly on Arrow. I don't really feel like the show's own story has gone anywhere yet this season.
