US: DC's Legends of Tomorrow

OK maybe I should give it another go. If I am honest I don't really like arrow post season 1 / 2 I just feel I should see it through! Not much on at the min. But lots of my favourite shows like banshee and the Americans starting up over the next month or so

Flash isn't bad, though whenever it has Snart or other overly campy and extremely useless enemies it's painful to watch.

This show, good god, I finally managed to catch up on flash/Arrow and tried this. After the crossover setting it up I wasn't particularly enthusiastic both knowing Captain Ham and Fire Retardant were going to be in it then being introduced to two awful hawk people. Somehow on top of 4 characters of which 2 are horrific and 2 are just bad, they added a terrible 'lead' in the time lord, have a pretty weak pairing for Firestorm(the Alias guy was 100 times better in Alias than at any point in Flash/this crap) and added Mr Fluffy and Wonder Bra.

It's just awful, awful acting, awful dialogue, story so full of holes and stupidity I got half way through ep 2 before deciding not to waste any more time.

I mean, a nuke has a massive box and a single red button on the side with a 2 minute countdown..... I could take that in the what 80's Batman tv show with Adam West, but in a high budget modern tv show attempting to be semi serious... just no.

Couldn't disagree with the above.

Every show has it's filler episodes or storylines that are weaker than others but this show just seems to think it can ride off the success of Arrow/Flash without making any effort of it's own storyline.

The only characters that any fan of Arrow/Flash would have any affinity to would be Sarah and Ray Palmer but they just don't seem to be the same character in this show.

Right, can anyone expain this to me? During the break-in at the Russian prison Jackson threw a switch that cut power to the prison which, amongst other things, caused the cells to open. My question is this. How did this work when the cells were just your basic lock and key type with no electronic locks in sight?

Does this programme not have people on the payroll that are supposed to notice irritating **** like this?

i didnt notice that until you mentioned it but lol

I can see this being the first of all the current CW hero shows to end up cancelled. They'll probably give it a chance with a second season as they usually do, but i can't see it lasting beyond that. It's just not very good.

Yeah as much as I want this to succeed it just been well below par. :(

Well that was the best episode of Arrow in years!

Still awful writing and super cheesy however.

It really needs to step up its game.

Also disapointed it wasn't Slade under the mask. I got excited for a moment.

So Slade's son comes in and takes over the city in 2016 and apparently Oliver, his band of merry men and all the other super powered heroes he knows couldn't do anything about it. Jump forward 30 years and a geriatric Green Arrow is able to take him down easily with only the help of one well placed arrow from baby Green Arrow and a little distraction from the misfits?

Stupid episode.

It's rubbish. But I like it haha! I love how there's loads of these 'Legends' and then black arrow comes at them... on an arrow zipline and they all run off even though we have 1 assassin, 2 crooks with flame/ice guns, Antman mark 2, Human torch dual personality disorder, big bird and a bloomin time traveller with a ray gun!

Just started to watch latest episode.
Why do they always split the Firestorm guys up so they can't merge which is the whole point of them!
It really is pap but I can't stop watching....

I think that one is my biggest issue with it, I can forgive the cheesy dialogue, half arsed plots and Wentworth Miller channeling an old time prospector, but the endless splitting of Stein and Jax because Firestorm would solve the problem of the week in 10 seconds flat is getting ridiculous, would it really have been that hard to put this to bed with a long term arc instead of continual excuses. Episode 3 or 4 should have had a scene where Jax gets hurt (say by Chronos' gun something) and the technobabble gun leaves some kind of blah blah blah in his system and they can't combine until he's healed. You can still have your CW drama with Jax and Kendra on the ship, you can still have Stein be the brains, and of course he's healed in time for the big barney in the last episodes, not one plot to date in the series would have needed to change for this to work yet it eliminates the Firestorm hole.

Or we could just carry on as we are:
"Ok, we're going onto an enemy ship, even if it isn't a trap by a third party it belongs to people who want me dead for betraying them, so since you two just need to touch to form the most powerful member of our little party I'll take the useless mechanic with me and you can stay here on your own"

I hope Snart hasn't killed flamethrower man, who's name has eluded me (says a lot about the show I think lol) as he was the only one I kind of liked out of the whole cast. Though if he hasn't I don't see how he can be brought back into the fold.

I've given up on it. If it ends up improving a lot i'll perhaps give it a second chance but all indications are that it's getting worse instead of better.

I struggle with The Flash at times because of overly cheesy tones and the silly plots/writing but I have come to accept and quite enjoy it.

This just seems a step down from that, coupled with the "filler" episode we got last week - there isn't much more. I don't think it's going to do a SHIELD or 100 (both started so-so but got a lot better by season 2/3).

I really can't see a future for this, every time fire gun boy and cold gun boy open their mouths and attempt to act I just want to screen. It's like watching a couple of 15 year olds pretend to be bank robbers.

I don't mind the fire bloke so much, but arrrgggghhh that cold fellas accent, what is he trying to achieve  Has he been watching too much 60's Batman and taking his cues from those villains ?
