Deadwood movie is happening

Looks storming, i'm just rewatching season 2 at the mo and the look and feel of that trailer is amazing. great that the got back as much of the cast as they could.

Yeah, cast looks storming. However, my biggest miss will be Cy Tolliver, but sadly, Powers Boothe (awesome actor) passed away a couple of years back :(

Didn’t notice the bloke who plays Bosch in the trailer either. Shame.

This is one show I really need to get around to watching. Had it on my 'to watch' list for years.

I wonder if the success of Westworld had anything to do with their decision to bring it back.

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed they seem to have borrowed heavily from Kurt Russell's character in Tombstone for the movie hah.

What a cast though - never was that interested in the TV series but the movie has a top notch cast.

You mean all the people who were also in the TV show?

Nah its been grumbling on for years. Maybe the westworld sets being used/available was an influencing factor but westworld is a steaming pile of guff next to Deadwood.

It’s the same cast lol! There’s no differences other than a couple of actors whose characters are not in the movie at all or the actors have passed away.

How someone can be interested in the movie but not the TV series is beyond me. As good as this looks, I’ll be surprised if it comes close to the levels of the TV show. Still can’t wait for it though.

Finally watched the trailer, not sure why it took me so long. I worry it's going to be more fan service than solid story though, especially considering Olyphants comments a few weeks back.

It's given me an urge to go through the first three seasons again, I wonder if I can manage before the end of the month.

plenty time, I've been doing it on about 2 eps a night. middle of season 3 at the mo, worth watching for Jack Langrishe alone X-D

Yeah but i've got a two year old taking up my spare time and maybe time to watch an hour of TV a day that the missus will also like, can't see her getting into this :(

It's not all bad though, she generally watches the same things as me, just not a fan of westerns.
