I wonder if any of those statements include someone saying "You call all just **** off!"

The saves money and deters other crime arguments are completely blown out of the water. So all that remains is the 5 things I mentioned...

There's also the case of prisoners who are sentenced to death or given life imprisonment, will then commit a murder whilst in prison as their sentence can't get worse than it already is.

They deserve as much justice as anyone else if injustice has been done to them. You can't pick and choose.

Executing an innocent man also raises another problem if the "justice/revenge" argument is to be given credit.

By the same logic, should the state/judge be charged with murder & executed?, is the innocent man who was murdered not also entitled to have "justice" & his family members not entitled to the same vengeance?.

He who lives by the sword & all that.

Prior Prison Record
#702267 on a life sentence from El Paso County for 13 counts of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon, 4 counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, and one count of burglary of a habitation. Was serving the life sentence and had escaped from TDCJ when committing the present offense.

Summary of Incident
While on escape from TDCJ, Rivas and 6 co-defendants robbed a sporting goods store at gunpoint. An Irving police officer was murdered outside the store as Rivas and co-defendants left the scene.

Lol wut? Pathetic point of view IMO. He should have been boiled alive.

Why so surprised? It's not uncommon for people to turn to God whilst in prison. Whether it's a result of mulling over the consequences of their crimes and wanting forgiveness/redemption or just going plain loony, I don't know.

It amazes me how many of them still protest their innocence in their last statement. Is this that they truly werent guilty, or is it that they've convinced themselves they werent?

If i had done something terrible like a murder, and i was just about to be executed, you may as well say "You know what, i did it, i was lying to save my backside" as theres no point carrying on the charade anymore, unless they've said it so long they've convinced themselves?
