Debadging

Obviously you get the odd person who genuinely wants to be descrete, even if it is to have some fun with chavs, but badges don't generally look bad,

Put it this way you don't see many genuine BMW M series cars de badged, it is always the 320i etc.

but oh yeah it looks so much better. ;)

lol.

for what its worth i specified model designation delete
not to have fun with chavs.

yes, it does look much better tho. more so because of the given shape of the boot on the e92 the badge numbers look awkward to me and are too central to the car....if that makes sense ;)

yours will be a giveaway by the oval exhaust pipe ;)

whenever i see an e60 denzil debadged i do tend to think that theyre trying to hide the fact that its diesel tho ;)

No oval exhaust on mine (530d Sport). :(
I'm not sure if it's an optional extra on top of the sport package or whether it's only for the petrols.

You might be right about hiding the fact that it's a diesel though. :p
Having said that, it still shifts when it needs to so I don't think I really need to hide anything. :o

There was a chavtastic Sierra on the M27 yesterday that certainly wanted to play when they saw a young guy in a 5 series. Seeing as they nearly killed themselves trying to stop me from over-taking them I decided to stay well clear of them!

Lose that Volvo badge or do this to it

oh right, perhaps most of the ones i see are 520d M-sport models.

yeh theres nothing wrong with a BMW 3.0 soot chucker, they go well - espesh remapped ;) if i did more mileage than i would probably be in a denzil to be fair. im currently getting 180 miles to a tank - all/mostly town driving!

I thought I would bring this thread back up as I've come full circle and face the same decision. Had my new T5 for a few months now and debating whether or not to debadge it. I never got round to deciding on my last T5 so hopefully now I can make my mind up this time.

1) Badge it as a poverty spec diesel model.
2) Make boy racers cry.
3) Profit.

Why would boy racers cry? Why would they even attempt to race a car badged as a poverty spec diesel Volvo saloon? They wouldn't bother, so this scenario would never exist.

I've seen boy racers that would race a push bike (and lose)

Still got the ST badge on the back of my car, took the Focus badge off a while ago, thinking about removing the ST badge now though, to clean the back end up a bit.

I think the facelift S60's with the badges on both sides look better than the one in the OP. I'd keep them.

Really?

What else did you do when you were 17?

We used to traffic light grand prix against most things, especially the lights that led onto a dual carriageway.

Best story I remember is my friend apparently getting a nod of appreciated from a Porsche driver when he was in his............... Fiesta 1.1. :D:D:D
