TURN OFF VSYNC IN GAMES!

Hi mate,

Thanks for the tips. Just to confirm, Vsnyc always off in games? I'm new to this whole gsync stuff. In relation to the settings. I assume Texture filtering set to high quality will impact on the frame rate? Mine defaults to Quality so just wondering if I should leave at that or change it? Is there much difference? Thanks :)

Yes mate.

G-sync ON
V-Sync ON (In nVidia control panel)
v-Sync OFF in games

If you want to maintain 144hz refresh rate then experiment with in game options otherwise play on ultra and still enjoy tear and stutter free gaming.

just ordered one of these , if it turns out fine then i will get another 2 for nvidia surround . replacing the acer x34 which i think is good monitor but to many problems .

I grabbed one of these this week to replace my aging ASUS VG236H (1080p - 120hz) which had started to fail.

First impressions are great. Tearing was always a major gripe for me and thankfully G-Sync delivers on it's promises. It's silky smooth!

I'm not an expert so colour/contrast etc all seem fine to me.

The vertical line issue isn't an issue either. It's there...just...but only if you look hard for it. I can't say I notice it at all while sitting back away from the screen and concentrating on what ever game I'm playing.

All in all I'm pretty happy with it.

Might have to tweak some things in my setup now. I've had to lower some quality settings to run 1440p in a manor I'm comfortable with.
My i5 2500k (4ghz) and GTX970 were excellent at 1080p on Ultra in most games. Ultra at 1440p might be stretching them a little!

Thanks pal. What about texture filtering?

Not sure mate, I've left mine on and changed the above settings and it's been perfect so far...not complaints what so ever.

It's amazing how it works, beautiful and smooth.

Thanks, just installed my EVGA GTX 980 Ti Classified. What a beast of a card! :D

haha!! Oh yes, isn't it just :D

I deleted the previous link, This one is more thorough and a good general all round profile which I am using for everything

Settings, .icc, my panel uniformity, sRGB map and measurement report are all in the folder.

I did try 140cdm2 and I didn't like personally but I will leave it here in case someone wants it.

Got my replacement today and no purple tint thankfully! Need to do a full pixel check tonight. In relation to profiles do I just load up colour management in windows 10 and add the profile? Never used them before but I'm willing to give some a go!
