Dell S2716DG - Dells first G-sync

Any stories of dead pixals. Never been so tempted to replace my benq x2410 120hz. So many bad models out there its like Russian roulette.

More chance of a Rog Swift Dead Pixel! Not to say you wont get one with a Del, but the build and test quality is much better!

Also I had a 1080p 144HZ 24" and have noticed a different in quality and smoothness!

Thanks mate.

Try this one it has better sRGB coverage compared to the one linked

or try the one posted on tft central

One is good but two is great :D

I'll have to calibrate it later on but no issues with the second monitor either.

Looks great, I'd get some black or dark grey felt on the back and side of your desk walls though. ;)

I've got a White LED strip on the wall behind the monitors which bounces off the white quite well, I am considering it now you've said it though :p

Which mousemat is that? Looking to buy a new one and that size is perfect!

I think it is this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-mega-mat-3xl-elite-tactical-gaming-surface-gs-003-op.html

Was thinking of going for the ASUS PG279Q but the quality problems has really put me off it. What cables do this monitor come with? (I just wont to be able to use it when I get it :p)

Digital Port Cable, USB cable for the USB hub on the monitor > PC. :)

I had one but my second panel is fine. I think someone else had dirt behind the screen. I'm happy with mine now it's working as it should and would highly recommend it :)

If you were considering the Asus IPS but build quality is putting you of then go for the Acer xb271hu. Build quality from user reports on OCN is much better than Asus, whilst level of IPS blow is still a lottery it does seem better. Monitor build dates from people who have managed to get one from UK are November 2015 and it doesn't appear to have pixel inversion whilst browsing also.

However if you really want a TN panel then the Dell comes with a DP cable.

Thanks pal, top one seems like a big improvement :)

np if you want a bit more pop add around 54-56% vibrancy from nvidia control panel :)

Did they swap out the one with the dead pixels with no bother?

I'm sending my original one back to OCUK using DSR (whatever it's called now) and I purchased another. However I did ring Dell who were more than happy to swap it over at the door but I wanted it before christmas. Can't fault Dell one bit. And the 3 year warranty is handy. I definitely think I got a dud rather than it being a consist issue with this screen. Most people in the thread seem impressed. In my view you can't refuse at this price although OCUK have said it's going up in Jan.

Thanks. I assume that preset I've installed does the gamma etc? I'm new to using profiles so excuse me if I'm asking dumb questions! :D

Your not making my choices any easier :p

I wanted a G-sync ISP monitor but seen the numerous problems with the panels in the thread for it. I've had a dell for ages and seen the S2716DG as people seem impressed with it and the price is OK I've been kind of leaning in its direction.

I guess the question is ISP really that much better for TN

Im setting here thinking the same thing yet am hesitant to pick a tn monitor due to bad experiences. I bought the SWIFT and my god the color shift was horrible. Well the coating was also horrible but atleast thats not an issue on this dell. Every other TN ive seen has been dreadful and right now im using a cheapo ips, the lg 29um57, and while its nothing fast nor furious when it comes to gaming it does look darn good.... what to do.. what to do.. really miss the speed of my old sammy 120hz though and the look and feel of this dell fits my age very well. My days with "gaming" themed gear is pretty much gone now..

I really wanna get this but i just bought a 970 so it probably wouldn't get anywhere near used fully BUT i would have it for years to come and i GPU upgrade every couple of years...

This or the https://www.overclockers.co.uk/benq...ing-flicker-free-monitor-black-mo-110-bq.html (note i've found the ben1 for £40 less)

.... i really can't make up my mind, and yes I game but not like I used too.

Dell ms RT on TFTreview 3ms average
Benq IPS RT on TFTreview closer to 10ms!
