Dell U2412M, U2312HM and U2212HM on their way!

well there was a lot of fuss from people when it was thought it was 16:9. i think this will probably please the majority of people. there will still be a 16:9 aspect 23" model for those who want that format :)

This is exactly what I had been speculating all along. From my understanding there was the U2412M, U2312HM and U2212HM in the pipeline but no U2412HM. Good to have it confirmed! :)

P.S That directory I was talking about earlier is nearly sorted. Will probably shoot you an email over the weekend so you can have a look at it if you like.

soo many decent screens to choose from nowadays and the Dells seem to be a popular choice so the new models due soon are certainly on my radar

yeah the info which Dell had given us was clearly listing the U2412 as 16:9 before but glad it's cleared up now :)

Good to hear! I look forward to it. :) I hope to have a review sample at some point as well but I have a few Samsungs to 'get out the way' first. It seems to be priced about right as well and much as I was expecting in this regard.
 
No nothing about that I'm afraid. The only hint of any sort of release date was 'July' in the US stated in that dodgy and clearly erroneous press release. The way Samsung have handled their releases so far this year means it is anybody's guess. I really can't wait to try those ones out and I know you can't either. :(

You do realise the previous 6 posts were discussing exactly that? And as Baddass said the prices are not finalised at all. Anybody taking preorders at this stage are just pumping up the price to get as much money as possible off desperate mugs. The price on the official Dell website is like a much more accurate and certainly more plausable reflection of the expected retail price at launch.
