I've set the exposure to match what I see fairly accurately. I think I'll try one more from them and then return them all and wait for a revision if the 3rd model isn't any better.

Yeah i was thinking of doing the same, but it would seem to be to much of a lottery right now. Most panels being shipped are produced june/july. There has been talk that aug/sep yield better results, but i am not willing to try again and no way of requesting a panel production date ( i tried and they glossed over it). I will wait and see what comes out next year.
 
Mine was made in October, with the yellowish tint in the bottom left and some white on the bottom right.

So even tho mine is made at a later date, they all seem to be pretty much the same.
 
Crazy, I seem to have gotten so lucky with mine! Don't give up hope though, it is possible to get them BLB free.

Just tried taking a picture of my screen in pitch black but my camera wasn't really good enough but yeah, 0 back light bleed at all.

Good to hear mumbo but to much of a lottery for me. I hope that if they bring out a revision then they might sort out the bleed, all these returns got to be costing them.
 
Well mines got the classic lower left hand corner BLB and I can hear a slight buzz but it's not really that audible over the hum of my PC normally unless your ear is up against the screen!

Just played some Orcs Must Die II at 2560x1440 and my 6950 coped pretty well - no slow down that I could tell - not tried BF3 yet but that will doubtless bring it to its knees!

Not sure I can be bothered with the hassle of returning it - my 2408 that this replaced had some dodgy bleed on the top right hand corner and elsewhere - will see if I can get a pic of them both at some point to compare!
 
It's personal choice, if your happy spending cash and putting up with it then that's cool. My 2412 has no bleed so the upgrade to the 2713 was spoiled by the bleed/clouding.
 
I am also waiting for Dell to replace my brand new monitor, frustrating about the 2 week lead time though

Same bleed issue, bottom left, mine is also made in July 2012 Rev 00

Apart from that, it's a great monitor and really enjoy gaming on this one
 
Hi

Got mine yesterday and although there is some BLB in the lower left corner,(lights off with VLC running) it really isn't noticeable under normal usage conditions.

Whether browsing, gaming or using word etc, the screen colour looks very uniform.

And coming from a Samsung B24H which had a really annoying yellow tinge to one corner, the screen to my eyes looks perfect:)

No stuck/dead pixels & no buzzing.

Small degree of cross hatch but simply not an issue.

Lovely monitor although set brightness to 40 & contrast to 75 to reduce eye strain.

Interestingly, the supplied driver/software disk was blank:confused:

That's what I have done, dropped the brightness to 35, because of eye strain. And can't really notice the bleed in day to day use.

That is a lot of bleed :eek: on the left side. Both bottom and on the top.
 
Are the ones from July 2012 the ones with the most issues?
Tempted to order one, but I don't want to get a dodgy one...
How are dell on returns? can you just keep swapping till you get a good one?
 
Dell are good with swapping , offer ends 24 th so if you do you best be quick. All manufacture dates seem to be an issue so far although early ones (July) probably more so. Worth a go you might be lucky.
 
Yeh going to decide tomorrow.....
Been on the online chat to dell and they wont tell me the amount of times you can swap for a replacement.
